exactly my feelings too, he's got a lot of the attributes to be a top player but i think he lacks a bit of football intelligence on the wing to be honest ....and the only way i see him playing up forward again is as a sub, he's never going to be a henry type roaming forward unless he develops a hell of a lot in a short space of time.

for me the 'he is only young' excuse is starting to wear a bit thin, you're either good enough to play at the top level at a big club or you're not.....rooney never needed 3yrs development, a cracking goal at highbury and he never looked back.

Walcott is more of a winger than them two though.

Arsenal's team was basically normal, bar Fabregas.
 
Was good game, Chelsea didn't turn up, shame we don't have a goal scorer, going to be a long season.

He played there when we were struggling at the start of last season. He's ok there but teaming up with O'Shea on the left side is a recipe for disaster, he's just woeful going forward.

Just noticed Giggs is out, he was meant to have recovered.
