i will wager that the one in newcastle is far worse than any other , its literally ridiculous 24/7. ive seen an older woman slip over a coat hanger that had been left at the bottom of some steps and get taken out on a stretcher. people just shopped around her

anyway its not the only shop like this , get there at opening to avoid all these problems

You should have seen the primark in oxford street on the opening day

I went to see what all the fuss was about and it took about 15 minutes to get out!

Pretty much this, except it was a standard Saturday. The sobs of the fallen and cold stares of those who've completed past tours merely supports the assertion that it is in fact, a war-zone.

If I ever go back in a Primark, I think I have to choose my timing very carefully.

Weekday mornings are the best time :) bonus of changing shift pattern I guess, I can go into town when it's epicly quiet and not be bothered. I like primark though, just not when it's rammed.

Took my gf to the Winchester one 2 weekends ago and she was amazed at how well behaved the customers were and how neat the store was, even for a late afternoon.

Primark is good for only one thing.. cheap throw away holiday clothes.

The place is like a ******* jumble sale. I haven't been to a boot sale in many years but I have seen boot sale stools which are nicer looking to buy from than most Primark stores.

Most of their T shirts you can forget about wearing more than thrice.. in the wash anything that was on them just breaks down.

Great for holiday wear though.

My fiancee knows never to take me to primark... i'd rather endure a car crash than step foot in that cesspit ever again. 2hours of wandering around, checking things out, triple checking things out, then ofcourse theres to "6item limit" in which there is a queue to get into the changing rooms, and ofcourse the girl has about 6 trillion things in her basket, so theres another hour waiting while she tries on her clothes, and in the end... we leave with 2 things... and 1 is a handbag.

Thinking about primark makes me rage.

The first and only time I've been to Primark was the one on Sauchiehall Street about 4 years ago. I bought a dressing gown for £3 and used it as overalls when I was working on the car :)

I'll never set foot in the place. The wife goes in and I wait outside.

This is due to something I termed "The Primark Effect". This effect ensures that my level of rage increases exponentially in line with the number of seconds I've spent inside the store. I can't handle it at all.

I honestly can't stand men who shop in that shop. Women, okay but men... no. I have never stepped foot in the place and never will. Closest I've been is waiting outside while my mum was in. From what I seen through the window, the stuff they sell looks like cheap tat.

Had to go in yesterday - sister-in-law is working in France at the moment, singing/dancing etc in the evening shows on a campsite, she asked me to pick her up some tights from Primark as she's found they are extortionate in France and she goes through them really quickly. Primark, 5 pairs for £2.50 - bet she goes through those faster than the expensive French ones but hey ho, her decision!

Oh god, I went in at about 4pm, was fairly quiet but looked like a plague of locusts had been through - there was stuff just EVERYWHERE. Some blooming scratty people in there as well.

Glad I could grab the tights and leave (clutching my Monsoon carrier bag in front of me as if to say "I'm not one of you!") - Yes, I know I'm a snob.

Cant complain with Primark, last time picked up 3 pairs of jeans for £8 or something ridiculous like that.

They also do good cheap white tees, perfect for using when just at home/gym, got about 20 of them :D

Sounds like a normal trip to Primark to me.

I do a yearly shop to Primark for Jeans and stuff.. actually saying that last time I went for my first year uni shop, I walked out with £100 worth of stuff... About 5/6 pairs of jeans which I've worn daily and are showing next to know signs of wear...

Their t-shirts can be slightly disappointing, but for the right thing you can't beat them. Cheap and cheerful. Lovely idea :)
