Pro Cycling Discussion Thread 2015

I see from the BBC that the breakaway are over 15 minutes ahead of the peloton, who are clearly not arsed.

Hansen is off the front of the breakaway - anyone got any detail on how far ahead he is?

Hanson and he has been joined by Haller from Katusha. They have around 30 seconds on the break with Sagan etc. The break has 16:30 on the bunch so that's not coming back.

The 2 guys will be caught on the climb, big shout today for Sagan......

Edit - in time I wrote and posted the gap from the break to the bunch has hit 17 mins!!

I imagine they'll be giving him a very thorough examination later today!

Geraint Thomas said:
It was a hard right and I was just following the wheel and then all of a sudden Barguil went into me. I feel alright for now - I guess the doctor will ask me my number and date of birth soon. A nice Frenchman pulled me out - but I lost my glasses as well. They don't even make them any more.

Priorities :p

Amazing interview with him after the race, typical humour : http://www.itv.com/tourdefrance/vid...oome-after-stage-16-crash-into-telegraph-pole

The name and glasses comments had me in stitches but I bet he'll have some bruises after that one!

Barguil literally used him as a buffer to avoid going off... Then did it again at the next corner! Didn't spot who the second time but he needs some lessons in descending! Seriously dangerous!

Did you watch the highlights ? I only ask as Barguil was bumped by another rider which forced him to take the inside and strange line which then gave him no option but to ride into Geraint.
