Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2016 Thread

I'm really unimpressed with the Fifa demo. I am not bothered about the sub standard graphics on the PC version of PES. I am hoping it plays as good as the reviews suggest. The lack of a roster update is frustrating, but not the end of the world.

Okay so the consensus firmly is to get FIFA on PC then?

I've been playing a bit of PES this afternoon and it feels much better on the pitch than FIFA, even more pronounced than last year.

Graphics don't look bad either, i'm using this SweetFX mod for it which fixes the washed out colour etc. Dunno if it's just the mod or the game itself but some of the players faces look too old, Neymar for example with big wrinkles on his forehead lol.

Been messing around with a La Liga Master League atm, doesn't seem any point in starting a BPL one while the teams are all still using last years squads :(

Edit - Oh and Peter Drury is annoying as hell, screams like he's just seen the most amazing goal ever scored every time you get near the goal!

Another thing, the goalkeepers seem absolute rubbish. Almost every shot goes in whether it's you or the CPU shooting.

No flupping way.

There is a lot of hate about PES 2016 on PC because and only because the PC doesn't get the same graphical effects andd eye candy as the PS4 XBone.

The game is itself excellent. If the console versions were the exact same as the PC version is in it's current form, then there would be no hate, only rave reviews. People who say the PC version is the same as the PS3/360 version are talking shampooe....it is the PS4/XBone version, minus all the bells and whistles......so not a pretty game by any means, but the gameplay is still all there.

However, the fact does remain that the Konami are putting only a bare minimum of effort into the PC version. What PC gamers are getting is a bare bones working version, probably in the most developed state they can port the console version over in, without actually having to pay a team to sit and iron out graphics card driver and other system conflicts.

Thanks, good to hear some opinions, I'm going to try and give the demos a go soon.

Here's what my friend had to say on the matter. FYI he's pretty heavily involved with the PES community, he even was invited by Konami at stages to test out closed beta version of the game to give feedback. HE told a story once of coming back with a CD labeled PES 8 or something (basically the version that was due out later that year) and had kids on the train gasping when they realised what it was. haha.

"I have a slight preference for FIFA still although PES is back and doing great. The pace of the game and ability to turn in PES is great. But FIFA physics and mechanics is better"

Seems to be, as usual, a matter of personal preference.

With that in mind, what exactly does each game do right, and what do they get wrong? Question is open to everyone.

Is there a PES demo out on pc yet? My brother has it on PS4 and says it's great, but I'm not interested in a gimped pc version.

I only bought PES for years until I lost interest in footie altogether for a long time. I've really enjoyed the FIFA16 demo though and suprised that I'm tempted to buy it.

15 was full of hackers online that hadn't even bought the game and started off with much better players on myclub through not paying.. That p**sed me off, no point buying it. Especially as it was dumbed down

A PC game full of hackers? Whatever next? LOLOLOLOL :D:D:D:D:D:D
