the VW badge was been sprayed in blue pearl so will be nice and subtle, but also give a good effect when it flips.

It's kinda hard to tell whats going on, what colour is what... Can't wait to see it all unmashed and finished though. Love the details you're adding.

flames won't be a problem, cheqered i don't think will be too bad - i'd have a play on a panel before the car, the local libary has a few airbrush books and i know there is a good section on flags ect in one of them.i'd get it sussed off the car first

getting the flames symmetrical was quite time consuming and also got through a fair bit of fine line

it looks soooo much better in the flesh the pearl really hits you and the continuity of the flames looks a lot better when you can see the whole car.

i used a curvey (note my total grip on technical terminology) template to add effect at the front edges of the flame as i didn't want the entire front of the car to have a load of amethyst over it.

cheers!, it's on my 'to do' list a 2332 quite poss turbo or maybe *** - the dury is out at the mo on fueling.

I like watching that program on cable discovery realtime or whatever called "beetle crisis" they are doing up a beetle from scratch oddly enough in more or less exaxctly the same metallic blue as yours....lol
