Project Cars 2 is en route :D

That last corner and the fast left, tight right chicane at the end of the back straight at Snetterton always catch me out...did in PC1 too lol. I hate that track sometimes...great when you nail it though
The chicane I have nailed down now, I think I need to be all the way over to the left before turning in for the last corner. May watch some videos.

Does it more or less have all the f1 tracks?

No, but off the top of my head, it does have...
Spa
Monza
Monaco
Suzuka of sorts (license issue meant they could not exactly replicate iirc)
Silverstone
Redbull Ring
Circuit Of The America's
Nurburgring
Hockenheim
Barcelona

I may have missed some, I'm away from pc, it's a good lineup for fast open wheelers and LMP/GT3.

Just a quick survey - how are you guys finding FFB in relation to sensing over/understeer and wheel locks?

I'm using the JackSpade Custom FFB files at the moment, and I can feel the surface of the track constantly, so I know that the feedback is there. But I can't seem to feel anything when the car is skidding - I can hear tyre squeal, but not any associated feedback through the tyres. Also, I ran over a kerb earlier and felt nothing. I would have thought this would give me a definite rumble through the wheel - is this how it feels for everyone else?

I have read on the official forums that other people are complaining about the same thing, and it makes sensing when the tyres are about to break away almost impossible. But the reason I'm asking if because I have quite an old wheel - Logitech Momo FFB Wheel (this one: https://secure.logitech.com/assets/16912/16912.png) and I also have no experience of any other wheels or FFB in games. It's a fairly decent wheel, but I guess things have moved on, would like to know if I'm missing out on essential FFB effects or if this is something affecting the game.

Hold it right around the corner and brake heading towards to the final corner
I get a huge amount of oversteer every time I try that. I'm sure I'll work it out.

I'm sure I read somewhere this only happens if its within the last 5 or so seconds of the lap or something?
It's the last couple of corners, to prevent you going out onto the runoff and gaining an advantage at the start of the next lap...
That makes sense, maybe I never noticed it was right at the end every time.

Ask the race engineer, find out what he suggests, then go into the setup and do it yourself. He only adjusts in increments of 1 so you'll be there all night if you leave it to him. Corner instability is usually stiffen the springs and anti roll bars...I do that in virtually every car with the loose setup as default.

Amazing game so far, the Lotus 49C round brands on loose configuration with 19 competitors is lots and lots of sideways fun :D

It wasn't immediately obvious from the start regarding the two default configurations, I was having lots of rear end fun and then found the default for everything is loose, switching to stable mode certainly makes control a lot easier, some would argue less fun but for me both are enjoyable :D

The AI seem tougher, I haven't moved the slider from the stock 60 position and the front runners are still getting away from me at the moment, not so much in bad weather but that was on the same on PCars 1, if you wanted to show them up just switch to thunderstorm.....

The AI skill is not consistent, in the Ginetta Juniors and FRookie they're lower skill and easier to beat, but even then on some tracks they seem better than others. Apart from turn 1 carnage they're actually quite good to race against...

As I'm not fussed about always winning I always make sure to start last to get in some good wheel to wheel action :)

I've sunk so much time into this and it doesn't feel like I've even scratched the surface...anybody hit a puddle yet?

Yes you have to brake in a straight line for both because there seems to be a bit of off camber at the last corner in particular to upset the car...jeez almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about lol

I do brake in a straight line for it, I'm definitely missing something. Might try the stable setup see what happens but the loose set up was fine for the last 3 races.
