Project Cars 2 is en route :D

Once all the glitches and bugs are patched out, this game will blow away all other driving games.

I did a multiplayer race at Le Mans with three different classes racing. The way the night closed in and then the track became misty/foggy was incredible. It felt lonely out there at night as there were no other cars close to me but I knew I was still racing.

Can you imagine full on Endurance Blancpain GT series around Spa/Lemans in leagues :):D:D

I'm enjoying this so much, I might even get the GT OMEGA PRO RACING SIMULATOR SUPREME - RS9 SEAT at £459 and 3 1080p Freesync screens :) :)

LMAO. Very good. I've two issues with VR. I get motion sickness and I'm an eye candy whore lol. To me it looks like VR is still a generation away from what I want from that experience. The things I see on YouTube visually just doesn't impress me. I don't know anyone that has one for me to try though. I want to be proven wrong.

Does anyone live closeish to Southampton with a VR headset I can experience? Lol.

Watching vr on YouTube is like being told what sex is like, you have to try it yourself to understand. Yes the gfx look rubbish on a YouTube video but when your in the headset it's like wow.
 
Tbh, it's gonna disappoint if you're really into shiny graphics. Doesn't matter if you can whack up AA and supersampling.

Unless... The immersion wins you over - which it has for most of us :)
 
Im selling my rift now unfortunately. I only bought it for Assetto Corsa / Project Cars 1 (and now 2). I couldnt handle the motion sickness which was horrid. Its a shame really as the immersion was unbelievable, but so was the nausea

I already said this and Petey asked for some of what I was on, glad it's not just me though lol, fog and thunderstorms are just incredible...

Don't get me wrong, I love all those things you mentioned. It's what made me buy it and keep it.
The driving itself can be fantastic at times, but it's pretty hit and miss and they'd have to do a hell of a lot to basically shut down the fanbase of the established big boys like iracing/AC/RF2 as you kinda said.

On another note, it's good to see that my AC skills have transferred over. I just destroyed the field on a Nords Enduro GT3 server in the lovely dusk :D

On yet another note that I'm not sure has been covered here: People complaining about too much grip in the rain.
If you've left the tyres at 'choose by weather' and you have rain in any one of your weather slots, it'll pick wet tyres and you won't notice a massive difference once the track is soaked.
Pick slicks if it's starting dry, and you'll soon see what's up when it pours down.

I'm getting so tired of hearing/reading people compare PC2 to AC...you know what I.Just.Don't.Care. There is a guy in NxtGen FB group of PS4 racers who actually drives a GT3 Audi R8 for real as a racing driver...and some guys in the group wouldn't buy the game until he'd reviewed it. For the record he said as training he preferred the handling in AC and would continue to use that. So what? I'm a 44 y/o accountant in the West Midlands, I'm never going to drive a GT3 car in real life, no one would offer me a racing drive. What I can do is have a really enjoyable fun time pretending to be a racing driver in VR on my rig at home...for me it's simple, I really, really enjoy PC2, the VR implementation is seamless, I can pick up and drive any car and they feel good (do i care if it's perfectly correct in every driving detail? No, but I've done some track driving and it feels very similar in cars similar to what I've driven)... does any of this matter if Kim Jong Un and Trump decide to play chicken with billions of people's lives? Not a jot.

I'm having a massive amount of fun, and that is what's important to me...I hope you're all smiling as much as I am playing this game...brilliant stuff!

As long as you're enjoying it mate that's all that matters. For the record, I am also enjoying it.

It is also only going to get better.
 
I like ac don't get me wrong but for me pc2 is much better as an overall game, once the few bugs are sorted it will be AMAZING! I love pc2 so much ive actually uninstalled ac as I would rather play this, its more me :)
