So bit of an update this afternoon.

Got my desk home

Doing some test fittings with the mobo tray fitting under.
Its a tight squeeze!

That is also without the standoffs raising it up

Standoffs fitted... And testing it out

My little helpers

Gaming mobo in place.

What it will look like with the 3m Carbon underneath!

Backdrop highlights the perspex!
Cant wait for the LED's underneath.

Temp setup, got the top pushed together and glass on ready for test fitting.

Looks awesome, the stain looks good too now it's had a couple of coats and has soaked in properly.

Ye I've grown on the stain too.
I was a bit up in the air, but it matches my TV unit so well.

And my missus is well happy with the stain so that's good in my books.

I didn't think that this build could get much better - then I saw the copper piping.

I'm not sure what the next thing up on the scale from "loath and envy" is, but I just flew past that without even so much as pausing for breath.

You have a beautiful desk computer. Now you are going to have a truly breathtaking rig in that desk. I wish I had your resources and creativity.... and skills to deliver.
