Btw, those temps are with the system 100% passive

I've just realised how noisy mechanical drives are!!

PCI lanes set to legacy rather than Gen3.This setting in the bios?

Yep, it lets you alternate between 2.0 & 3.0 which it usually sets at default of 2.0 (or legacy as it may be called), shouldn't really make that much difference tbh.

one of the reasons id love watercooling is for silence coupled with great cooling regardless of situation. my pc is almost silent when idling or browsing the net and other menial things but when gaming the 7970 makes all kinds of noise.

looks like you have a good amount of thermal headroom for overclocking too

Yep I should have little bother smashing 1.5v out of the CPU and 1.4v on the GPU's (benching only).

no way to hide the cables by cutting up an old case to make a cover plate? impressive build though

are you going to use any sort of case lighting or is it staying as it is?

I'll be adding lighting later down the line, as there are a few things I want to change, the front 140mm fans (had to mod some antec true-quiets, now the grind on the case), the leaky card bridge and possibly some pastel fluid and probably a new PSU.

I may measure up to make a plate for cable coverage when I change the above.

120mm I'm using OcUK Tech Lab (Zaward Golf III) and 140mm Antec true-quiet's, though I'll be replacing these sooner rather then later.

The case is an absolute giant but it has its flaws, mostly around cable management.

Hehe, with all them rads i bet your loop temp wont budge more than a few degrees, i would just be itching to cover that big rad on the side in fans just ticking over at 500 rpm.

Looks great though cant wait to see it finished.

Looks grand so far.

Great temps too, that 1080 i had made a massive improvement for me, and when gaming, never saw above 40'c

Some nice lighting in there will finish it off nicely, especially if you get some braiding done in there.

I'll be having a better play with the motherboard today, it should be fine, reviews rate it as good and in some cases slightly better then the rive

It's also snowing today, must be a sign to do some extreme benching.
