At least the weathers supposed to be dry round here on Saturday and Sunday so you won't be fighting back the rain while trying to fix it.

Yeah, checked it this morning before I went to work and it had stopped, insulation will be wet though. Have an electric heater on in there atm to try and dry up as much as I can.

Except it's snowing now...!

Yep, after I got into the car, went 5 minutes down the road it started coming down... perfect!

I don't get why you havnt boarded the walls! You wouldnt even need to batton them if you cant be bothered, just dot/dab straight on the bricks if you dont need the insulation :p

That was the plan, but the majority of the walls are going to be covered with "stuff" anyway so not going to make too much difference. I'm already struggling to find wall space for the rest of my man cave bits! :)

What was the cost of it? if you don't mind me asking... I've just sunk the best part of £1000 doing the whole room up, damnit!

A good guide here about glass fibre roofing.

http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/Roofing_Information_Downloads.html

Cost me around £750, but I did lay new osb3 decking, as the old ply was thin & sagging, used six 3 metre edging trims. cost £81:50p, Fibre glass around £550, fibre glass works out around £40-45 per sq metre.

When you take the cost of under felt, top felt, plus adhesive, etc, it soon mounts up, I did also look at EPDM, a synthetic rubber roofing membrane, but I know someone who had it, & their window cleaner tore it with his ladder's foot, when he used the flat roof to gain access to a window.

Indeed, Not long now!

Thankfully it only seems to actually drip down when its raining, so fingers crossed for no rain on the actual night!

Sounds amazing! me and the missus went to a Casino in Leicester Sq. after the 9ers/Jax game to watch the skins/broncos game, sounds very similar to what you've mentioned.. if it is, you are in for a great night!

Who you backing?

That doesn't sound too bad actually, Might even be able to claim a bit on the house insurance I suppose!

Thanks for the info though, I'll have a read!

Aye we went last year and it was great, boosted by the fact one guy walked away with about £1k from roulette haha!

I fancy the Seahawks to be honest, I think they'll turn the ball over a lot with interceptions/fumbles as their defense is awesome. It's going to be a good game regardless, best offence in the league going up against the best defense. Going to be epic.

Backing the Hawks too, but thats generally because I don't like the Broncos!... (what Pats fan does?!)

Should be a cracker though, both teams certainly deserve to be there!

Now.. just gotta fix this roof! so we can play some pool!

ever so tempted to make a Beer Pong table as well :/

What about just slapping some roof repair compound on there for now and then sort it properly in the summer?

http://www.screwfix.com/p/flexacryl-roof-repair-compound-grey-1kg/10990

This seems to have good reviews, but someone else might know of a better product for temp repair.

Funny you say that, I've just had a text from my cousin (who's helping me sort the roof) to say he's going to get a product like this and have a look this afternoon while i'm at work!

Bonus! :)

had quite a bit of rain last night and doesn't seem to be any more water come through.

Had an IKEA trip last night so never got chance to do a great deal of man cave work done. Spent the majority of it building flat park Billy Bookcases! bah!

What I did get done however was:
- Trunking for the cables > Projector
- Put up an LED Bar sign (which looks awesome!)
- sorted the window sills so they are no longer bare brick

Pics to come :)

managed to fix the leak on Saturday, it turns out its a fibreglass roof (who knew!?!)

However the fibreglass didn't curve over the edges of the walls and it appears there was a slight separation. I've sealed up the edges now and nothing has come in since!

Also, finally got the cable finished off. It runs from the Man Cave (bar side) to the garden, all the way down the fence, up the side of the house, into the loft and down into the office!

On a side note, Super Bowl party went very well

Couple of pics from before everybody arrived. Had just under 20 people in the end!

Pardon the phone camera pictures!

Taken from the screen, looking towards the bar (the optics were full shortly after!)

The cover on the air hockey table was for beer pong .. which was devestating

taken from behind the bar, testing out Game Pass via media centre, now with added bonus of an internet connection!

Its still missing the majority of the memorabilia etc, just didn't have the time to get everything up!

Things on the to do list!

- Upgrade amp + speakers when money permits and also find fixed placement for them on the back wall, as they are currently sitting on a shelf above the bar!
- Replace the god awful strip lights with something nice, some LED Spotlights would be cool I think
- I have a media faceplate that needs fixing to the wall.
- More cable tidying required!
- Memorabilia needs to go up, have a fair few bits but just didn't have time to get evertyhing sorted by Super Bowl!
- Blackout blinds for the windows and door for daytime/summer viewing!
