Looking good mish! Really regret doing my old server case black! Seeing yours in the flesh shows how good a pure white rig could look!

Nice job mate!

Alright mate! Thanks. Well, thats just going to be the interior - the exterior which I'm spraying now is going to be black I agree though it does look fresh. Gives it a bit of a contrast, got that Scythe Kama bay and other goodies on their way today so trying to get all the spraying done so I can set some of it up! :)

Ok today as it was once again nice and sunny I have begun the exterior spraying. This took about 6 coats, ver impressed with the overal finish:

looking good :D im off to buy my paint this afternoon :)
I would go with Halfords mate, the finish on the plasti-kote to me doesn't seem as good. The nozzle on the Halfords stuff is a lot bigger too which makes it easier to spray.

Me too!

Got a 680i and am replacing the heatpiped north and southbridge cooler with seperates. I have a Noctua NC06 but am still waiting for the southbridge cooler as it's coming from the states!

On top of that i'm moving into a new flat over the weekend so won't get to play at all! :(

Hope you get an opportunity to do some work on it sooner rather than later then mate!

Good work mish, making an old crate look modern... excited to see how it ends up!

As theres far to many posts in here... what you putting in it after? Or you flogging it off?

I have one of those Noctua's sitting on my shelf that I need to install too. Have you installed yours since the weekend mate? Hope the move went well. Its raining badly outside which isnt good, hinders my spraying!

Thanks keogh. I'm going to be putting my current system in there. I was thinking on the weekend whether my Noctua NH-U12F will actually fit in the case as width of the case isn't very big compared to my current case  really hope it isn't so.

Managed to get the motherboard tray finished on Friday. Just got back from a weekend away, the weather looks grim outside - its throwing it down. Any suggestions for doing it indoors? Want to finish this project ASAP! :D

Painting? Well ventilated room, open windows and a face mask if you have one. Lay down lots of newspaper too - i once painted my mum's cream carpet with a fine mist of Chaos Black(tm).

i wouldnt spray indoors as you will find speckles everyhere no matter what you do and no house is ventilated enough tbh

looks exelent iv started modifying a old case thats been lying around but i wouldnt mind getting my hands on a server case to mod :D would anyone like to donate a old server case for a modification no side panels needed :D

and how was it painting all the corners and tricky places without drilling all the rivets ?
