Project: Rad In Mi Kitchen

How are you configuring the fans on the rad? Is it push, pull or both?

To be honest, I've not quite decided yet. However, they will be on the side that is facing the window, if you can understand what I mean, so I'm not sure whether they'll push or pull. I'm wondering how much difference it will make.

If they push, they'll be pushing ambient case air through the rad. If they pull, they'll be pulling air from the rad into the case

Yeah, it does. But I was thinking about maybe leaving the side panel open to keep temps cooler. However, if temps are fine with the side panel on, I won't bother :)

why?

leave the panel on

you may as well put your hardware on the motherboard box if you arent keeping it closed in.

perhaps get a custom cut onto the panel, a design of your choice?

or a mesh/window combo?

i think mesh and a window would be pretty good and allow a bit more airflow?

I got a £10 window panel for the case, it's got vents for a 140mm fan, so I think it'll be fine.

I just realised that I don't think I have enough tubing :(

1m won't be enough. I've got 1m of 7/16" Tygon, but I also ordered 1m of 7/16" masterkleer too, as 1m doesn't look like it will anywhere near enough

Okay, I got some more things in the post.

You can see the nice new window panel I have for my case. The radstand is just in front of the case. The two small bottles are pt nuke, and an anti corrosive thing. Then there's the funnel, and my D5 is next to that (It will be dismantled to be put into the reservoir :D )
Then obviously there's the distilled water. The 1m 7/16" tygon is in the front and you can just see the little white thing in the front, that is the rubber encasing the silver coil. (photography will be improved when I'm taking important, more interesting pics ;) )

Here's a quick update:

I got the package, that made me smile :D

Here's the rad. I'm going to have to flush this beast at some point.

Here's the D5 reservoir kit. I'm a bit annoyed that the LED has the pins a bit bent. Not sure how clear it is in the pic, but it's pretty bad irl. I hope it still works anyway

And here's the pump mounted in the res:

And here endeth the photo fest. My photography skills are slowly improving, simply by messing with a couple of settings on the camera, so hopefully when things really get kicking, my pictures will look better than crap :p

Yes, I got the sr-1.

For the bay res, I'm not sure if the O-ring is compressed enough, however the pump is bloody tight and not falling off in a hurry, so I imagine it will be okay :)

My res came with instructions for the tank res and the bay res. The tank res looks alright to be honest, but I wanted a bay res. Despite being a bay res, it doesn't really hold much more water than the swiftech micro res :p

Yes, this is a lian li panel
There's better side panels out there, but for £10 I'm not complaining. Also, how might I go about cleaning the marks off the aluminium? everytime anyone touches it, it gets marked. Rubbing it with a cloth doesn't work that well
