Project: Rad In Mi Kitchen

Thanks mate :)

The project's been sitting here for a month :(, and it's going to sit here for another 3 weeks until I'm back home, when I can (fingers crossed) finish it.

FFS, if I can't finish it, I'm wacking myself.

I hope you're gonna put the CPU block on the right way round man :p /OCD

It is the right way round

I'm just praying I can fix the pump so that I can leak test. Then I'm praying that there isn't a leak. Then I'm praying that I can connect everything else hassle free. Then I'm praying that the graphics card isn't dead from me having drilled through the damn thing. Then I'm praying that the temps are okay and that nothing is overheating. I think there's a bit of margain for error in this build :p

Here's how it's looking atm. PS: rj, did you get my trust msg?

Good luck :) do you have everything you need to complete the build ? any ideas on a timescale for completion ?

Thanks mate.

time to completion depends on leaks and the like. I haven't turned the pump on, and I've already found that for some reason, 7/16" tubing on 1/2" barbs is loose enough to cause a leak. it's the bottom barb on the graphics card. For some reason the tubing is not tight enough

I'm hoping it'll be okay though, as the water is flowing from the barb rather than to the barb.

Yes RJ, I've been very foolish with this build ;)

It's verging on fail, all the monies gone, never coming back.

I think I managed to rewire it anyway, so it's all good, hopefully :o

Little update: I filled the loop, but had to drain it again due to an unexpected kink. I've taken the motherboard and res out, I've got my new pump, and I'm going to be replacing some fittings, and maybe replacing some tygon with the masterkleer stuff instead

I chose not to powder coat, I think the finished product will look nice this way. And the bay res will look good, I'll put a blue led behind it, and I might put one of the supplied faceplates onto it ;)

Thanks for the words guys. Keeps me motivated :)

I've had to take the mobo tray out again, so here's a pic of how it's looking atm

I plugged the fan controller into the molex of my other pc, and the fans look really stunning, especially in the night. I don't have a night pic right now, but I'll take one at some point.

I got some new shiny in the post, which should help me finish off the build :D

Newsflash

I've just started bleeding the system

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

It's been going for about 10 mins, still lots of small air bubbles, the cm air bubbles have gone, now it's just the mm sized ones.
