Project Scorpio .. early adapter or not ?

As a gamer on all formats i'm wondering why you're in the xbone thread then.
Well I also game on multiple formats (PC, PS4 and Switch and 3DS) so when I visit the console section of the forum asking a question I chucked in my opinion. Sorry, I didn't realise this thread was only for people who were going to get one.

Prob for the Trollytrollytimes

I don't like football, So I don't hang out in the football forum........................

God forbid someone has a different opinion. Yes, they must be trolling.

I haven't even said the Scorpio will be a bad system so I'm not sure how exactly I am trolling. But seeing as Microsoft are bringing their games to PC I have no need to buy the platform.

Don't worry bro, I have an Xbox and even I'm having doubts about the value of this when I have a PC. Still want it though.

Forza Motorsport 7 if it comes to PC like is suggested, will almost single handedly make the Scorpio almost pointless if you own a high end gaming PC. Most of the exclusives are now appearing on Windows 10 store, I see that as the direction of things to come.

That is a good point as Forza Motorsport 7 would be one of the main games I want to play.

Gotta love the double standard here. MS brings there exclusives to another platform, get slated for it. Other console makers will always keep there exclusives tied to their machine sole, still seen as the good guys.

It's part of the Windows platform. You bought their software. You did what they wanted you to do. MS don't make anything selling hardware. Can we get past the 'no point buying one of these if you own a decent PC' bull **** posts?

The problem with buying games from the windows store is that they are more expensive then other places (However if you don't already have an xbox then it would only take ~20 games to make it worthwhile not buying one). Is there crossplay between pc and xbox one if its a windows store purchase?(Im waiting for everyone to say no as all gamepad users will get owned by mouse and keyboard:p).

And that's where MS have got you buy the balls. All their exclusives coming to the PC you have the buy through the Windows Store, which is more expensive. Most PC gamers dont by games unless they appear on Steam and they are still hurt from the Games for Windows days.

If PC gamers want to play MS exclusives on the PC then they will have the pay the premium for it and MS knows this. Otherwise they would have made their crossplay include retail discs, which are considerably more cheaper than the digital versions.

I actually think it's a great move by MS and I have no idea why they didn't do it sooner. I have no issue paying a bit extra if it means I get to save a bit of money and space not buying another platform.

I've bought Gears of War so far but I haven't even started it yet. But it was only £24 so I couldn't refuse :p

It's pointless because a high end pc will be superior to the scorpio, thats not to say the console wont be powerful. If it comes in around 500 quid which I'm expecting, why is it necessary to buy that console if you already have a pc thats 4x that price, has better performance, freesync/gsync etc that can play all the games that Scorpio can.

That's my point. That's not me knocking it in any way.

I know why you said and no one is saying that your point isn't valid. This thread is asking if you are buying a Scorpio day one or not. Not 'will you buy a Scorpio if you already own a decent PC or not' thread. Maybe someone should make a thread titled like that in the PC forum so that we can all get back to talking about Scorpio in this one.

For me it will all boil down to price. I think anything over £500 is too much at launch. It will be interesting to see if current games will get updated to make use of the extra power.

This. 4k or not, as all MS games are pretty much on PC now its rendered the system useless to me. Still interested in it and how it all turns out though
