Mo, they have said there will be a mechanism to allow you to sell/buy second hand games.Basically no used games? Have to buy a new key everyone.

I think Sky/VM wouldnt be that appreciative of MS attempting to 'replace' their boxes/UIs - guess theres a set of cheques waiting to be written...PlayTV on PS3 had a fully functioning EPG but of course that was just digital TV as opposed to something like Sky. All I'm really saying is that I'm sure it's not completely impossible for MS to work with the likes of Sky to provide the TV functionality in the UK.

A mechanism where you pay a fee.
B) if games has to be tied to account that basically results in alway online / have to have Internet to install game.
Well as an example VM spent a load of money getting the TIVO setup on their boxes, so I just dont see where they would be particularly happy to lose all that additional functionality by allowing their boxes/services to work via XO - it does seem MS hasnt really looked past the US TV service. Also as an aside it reduces the disparity in features between competing services like Sky and VM to boot...I wouldn't be surprised, with the money behind MS, if Sky announces a new Sky+ box with XBox One connectivity.

I wonder what Mark Cerny would be thinking looking at Xbox One Console
XBO is only a front end to control those devices though. All of the content, purchased or otherwise, will still be accessed via those devices
Depends if it allowed them to offer an IPTV service without the expense of providing subsidised dishes/cables/set top boxes etc I guess? NowTV and SkyGo already do a limited version of thatI think Sky/VM wouldnt be that appreciative of MS attempting to 'replace' their boxes/UIs - guess theres a set of cheques waiting to be written...

But their now very well polished UIs would be completely ignored, the content that VM and Sky have isnt that different, but how they present it and able to digest it is (and is considered by most their USPs for similar services), something like XO just removes that entirely it seems.XBO is only a front end to control those devices though. Quite ironic that lots of people here were saying "just show me the games", and now that it's over they're discussing the media aspects of the console rather than the actual games that were announced.
McLaren being a key partner for Forza 5 seems pretty exciting - no doubt their cars will all be part of the next iteration of the Autovista feature, which should be even more interactive with the new Kinect
Ghosts looks graphically impressive - staying at 60fps will also ensure the gameplay doesn't suffer. I'd be interested to know if it will be native 1080p.

because before the reveal we thought it was a games console, now we know it isnt
