PS4 and Xbox Rumours

The playstation 4 will need a 'X' factor for me to buy it, I've own a playstation, playstation 2, psp and two playstation 3s; but now feel a sony games console alone wont cut the mustard with me.

The PS2 was the first DVD player that most people had and the PS3 is the only blu ray player some people have, so sony pull some magic from your sleeves and I may be sad enough to queue up on release day so I get my moneys worth out of the playstation 4 else I might jump ships for this generation; especially if its not fully backwards compatible.

That'll be Killzone 4 for me, I think. :D
You jest ;):p.

TBH considering the amount of first party and second party developers Sony have working for them Im looking forward to the PS4 launch, its only Sony software that kinda sucks...

Very tempted to get the new Xbox first though for a change - just not getting either at launch though!

I'm getting both at Launch but which I'll use as main and which for the exclusives I haven't decided and will probably be based on what friends get again. This generation I've used the PS3 more as I didn't know many people with an Xbox, that may change with the next gen though.

I'm gonna wait and see what they come with out the box.

I lost interest in PlayStation when they lost all the exclusives that i enjoyed.

Even though PS1/2 are epic consoles, 3 does nothing for me.

Surely you'll all be tempted when the people who buy at launch start quacking about it on here. :D
That would infer I care what they think :p. Oooh burn!

Im old enough to realise that graphics are way down my list of wants for gaming, so the fevered anticipation of a new console makes me quizzical because in reality its far more important to get great games and a new console generation does anything but guarantee that...

I be honest and say one of the reasons why I got a ps3 in the first place was the announcement of street fighter 4 being released on it. Before then I wasn't interested getting a console of this generation at all, and enough of my friends was telling me about the ring of death, disc destroying, online blocking xbox 360 to put me off the machine.

Sorry but steve jobs was right when he said Microsoft makes dreadful products, but if the xbox 720 is cheap enough compare to the ps4 and the ps4 don't have a 'x' factor, you pay for what you get. :)

After being a Sony fan in the PS2 era, I was disappointed with the PS3 and moved over to the 360. I own both however so will be interesting to see how the new 2 consoles will be compared.

I'll buy both eventually anyway, I always do, but a new Xbox is more interesting/exciting to me.

TBH the only games I ever played on PS3 were Heavy Rain, Uncharted, GOW and GT5. Next-gen versions of those will make me buy one.

It would be nice if PS4 had some major Google influence... heavy integration with Android... perhaps access to Google Play... would an Android-based OS be too much of a stretch?!
