Metro: Last Light has gone Gold, and it seems that 4A Games and Deep Silver have big plans for this new Metro game. According to an interview with the Ukrainian tech website itcchannel, Metro: Last Light will be coming to PS4 and a multiplayer game based on Metro: Last Light will be released as a separate title.
According to 4A Games, an SDK for Metro: Last Light may get released. This will be amazing – in case it happens – as it will bring lots of mods to this new Metro title, something that a lot of our readers have been asking for.
4A Games also confirmed that Metro: Last Light will receive five DLCs. Naturally, it is said that development in these DLCs started after the completion of the base game. These five DLCs will be different story missions from the point of view of other characters.
As we said earlier, the multiplayer mode of Metro: Last Light will be released as a separate game. It is said that Deep Silver and 4A Games plan to release this standalone MP game at least half a year after the release of Metro: Last Light.
4A Games also hinted at a Season Pass, though it has not confirmed it yet.
You can view the complete interview below. Kudos to Metro: Last Light’s forum member ‘Komodo Saurian’ for translating some parts from it.
Not how I read it:No, it's a subsidy to reduce the initial cost of the console. You pay a higher amount each month as XBL Gold. If you want to stick to the normal rate you buy the console for $500.
All it specifies is the length of the period for the discounted console, not that the price paid is over-inflated compared to the normal price paid? Seems dodgy to label at such and expect it to be differing price points dependent on how you bought the console.that requires a two-year Xbox LIVE Gold commitment at an expected price of $10 per month
Always Online
Thurrott notes that the rumored “always online” functionality of the next Xbox is correct. He notes that “the next Xbox must be Internet-connected to use. This is the source of the ‘always on’/’always online’ rumors and isn’t as Draconian as many seem to believe.”
Pricing, Release Date and Backwards Compatibility
Following up on his report earlier this month, Thurrott reiterated that “Microsoft will initially offer two pricing models for the console: a standalone version for $499 and a $299 version that requires a two-year Xbox LIVE Gold commitment at an expected price of $10 per month.” He also reports that the system “will launch in early November 2013.”

How does the existing US X360 discounted deal work? Do they pay over the odds for XBL Gold?
I took it as $10 a month is the normal price for XBL gold, Im trying to elicit why you think differently? So little detail in that rumour to hazard a guess that pricing isnt standard is the way I saw it. Why I was aghast at the figure...
can see a lot of people jumping ship to ps4 this time round if xbox live costs that much for the initial 2 years. as soon as little jimmy's mum finds out it costs £120 a year to play online, she is going to buy a ps4 which has free online play instead.
Well it cant be $15 a month, when its what £40 a year here RRPThey do it now in the States for $15 a month with an early termination fee. I'm assuming they are following the same model. I don't know what the normal per month price is in America.

Well it cant be $15 a month, when its what £40 a year here RRP. Man Id love to challenge that pricing by getting two years of XBL Gold cheaply to effectively satisfy the term, it just cant be billed as a plain XBL Gold charge so they can get around oercharging the service.

Unless its billed with that subsidy mentioned, youd be on quite dodgy grounds over here. You are effectively overcharging a service over and above youre own RRP and thats before you look at the considerable discounts MS directly advertise. But you're paying an included subsidy for the hardware. It's not just for Xbox Live gold. But that is how Microsoft seem to be billing it.
If they bring over that pricing over here Id be very interested in looking at the T&Cs...
To qualify for the purchase of one or more Xbox products as specified in the Offer (the ”Xbox Product(s)”) at a discounted price, the Offer requires a monthly subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold (the “Subscription”) with a two year term (the “Term”); the monthly subscription rate is $14.99 during the Term. At the end of the Term, Your Subscription will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis at the then-current monthly Subscription price until your Subscription is cancelled or terminated. If You had a Subscription in good standing before the start of the Term, any months remaining from Your previous Subscription will be applied after the Term ends before your Subscription automatically renews on a month-to-month basis.
I'll take a PS4 then please.
Cheers dude, as you said at face value it looks like they charge $14.99 for 'XBOX Live Gold' when its normally a $9.99 monthly chargeHere're the USA terms

If you cancel within the first 3 months, you're paying the full whack of $250 for early termination!
