PS4 Headset Comparisons / Options

yes i was googling last night and it seems as if my headset is actually compatible fully without RCA inputs.

the PS4 has an option between just chat audio or full audio to come through USB.

so logitech wireless systems with a USB connector are 100% working.

brilliant.

on another note if you have a nice set of cans, someone recommended just getting the belkin iphone remote control microphone (£7 from amazon), plugging that into the controller, then plugging your cans into the belkin microphone and then switching the controllers audio from vhat audio to full audio.

that way you don't need to buy an expensive headset for decent SQ, you can use any set of headphones.

I've been using a pair of DX12's for over a year now with no problems. Now I just need to find a PS4 chat cable so I can use them with a PS4 when I get one.
 
Thats good to hear. I think Im trying to decide on the surround sound devices mixamp vs dss - sounds like they make it a better overall experience and help a lot with localisation

My Earforce Bravos should work going by the website and they do kinda, I have the USB plug in and it recognises it, i have the RCA's going into the Headphone socket with a lead on the telly, yet i get 0 sound from it, the only way i get sound is to chose ALL audio on the PS4.

This work BUT i can not change the volume at all, and its very low.

for a lot of people that is just not going to work.

if it was USB only then yeah, perfect, but i dont think ps4 can output game sound through USB and must be done through HDMI or optical, in which this case the tv converts the HDMi into RCA out which the headset plugs into.

plus having one set of wires to the back of the tv and one to the front of the console is going to get messy.

I plug my corsair 7.1 USB headset into the USB port on the front and they work. Had to tick an option in settings but all sound goes through them no problem... games,blu ray and xmb sounds

Agreed only had my A50s for a bit but they have saved my bacon with the surround sound a few times from people trying to sneak up on me in bf4
 
Got a tweet back from Turtle Beach saying the PS4 chat cable isn't available in the UK yet but they're getting it here ASAP. I'd guess we won't get it til after the new year now.
 
Any opinions between astro a40s and tritton pro+?

Going to order a set today but dont know which to get. Tritton has a longer cable and 4 speakers jn each cup where i assume astro is simulated?

Anyone else having any problems with their wireless headset (in my case, PX5 connected via optical) where the sound either cuts off, or goes crackly/stop-start until you change the audio option in the settings? Happening every so often to me, very annoying

Happening with my a50s but only in bf4 which is buggy as hell any way
