Gasly looking fast. Imagine if he’s ahead of Max towards the end of the race. Imagine if he’s leading and Max is in second. How quickly will Mateschitz and Marco be getting their phones out or marching down to the AT garage for a stern word?!

Would love Bottas to win and Max second so he doesn’t have to give it up to Lewis.
 
RBs wing falling apart again. Mercedes with score marks. They really are pushing to the limit. RB got away with their flexi wing last time and were given several races to put it right, so you can’t blame Mercedes for joining them and it’s too late now if they do change the load test.

Without checking they'd put it right by the next race as I recall. Disputed in Barcelona and Mercedes' was flexing much more when they arrived in Baku.
 
That's obviously a completely different issue*. It's hardly doing that by design.

* Well it may be related if they're trying to do what they think Mercedes are doing, but that's just conjecture.

It might be something they just have to deal with for these flyaway races on consecutive weekends (madness), but with a gap until Saudi Arabia they may be able to come up with a more permanent fix, rather than continually having to patch up the existing wings.

Apologies. I've probably typed that wrong a shedload lately in all the threads of late. Sorry guys. Don't know where I got Totto from. I keep spelling Max and Christian's name wrong as well but that's for a different reason. ;)

No the rear wing fixingscwere broken, it will also slow the car up on the drs straights because the gap is reducing thus not allowing it to stall the air.

They can see a score mark on the Merc wing, which they say is caused by the DRS flap opening too far under load (flexing).

RB are going to lodge a complaint if they "see any score marks". Merc are saying that there's nothing wrong with it and have offered to send RB a cut up wing :D.
 
Mazepin's car fails immediately as he goes out. Just one practice session for him, given his limited talents, I think he's going to have a hell of a rough weekend. Wouldn't be surprised to see an incident with him in Quali as either he misjudges another driver or another driver misjudges him.

And, going back to Hamilton's DQ in Brazil, does anyone else find it extraordinary that Merc were only given the wing back after the event? Shouldn't they have been able to inspect it before the investigation?
 
Is this still the same complaint from before where the wing stalls at high speed? Or something else?

I thought they had no complaints that weekend?
