It was almost reminsant of a film ending, that massive jet taking off with Ma'am onboard leaving Scotland for the final time into a beautiful clear sky.

Pretty short-sighted of the staff tbh. It's like being a Lotus Notes developer and then being baffled you've got fired when they don't use Lotus Notes anymore.That'll keep the morale up.

Is the Queen been embalmed or is the coffin empty? Surely her body has to be kept cold, can't be good for the body spending all this time out and about in relatively warm weather.

Decided to head to London tomorrow after work and wait overnight to see the Queen lying in state...anyone up for joining?

I am tempted to go down to see her lying in state... Just don't think I can justify the potentially huge wait to myself, along with a long, expensive, and no doubt busy journey down.
Can imagine that it will feel like a very meaningful visit for those that go though, and certainly a memorable way to show respect & take part in a historic event.

The Coffin weighs a quarter ton apparently because its lead sealed, so far as I know they wont be altering anything now except putting it into the ground on Monday.
