Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Work have given us the day off on Monday. Don’t think they had much choice really with it being named Royal Mail!

Live just outside London but have no interest in going to see any of it, will watch in TV though.

I am tempted to go down to see her lying in state... Just don't think I can justify the potentially huge wait to myself, along with a long, expensive, and no doubt busy journey down.

Can imagine that it will feel like a very meaningful visit for those that go though, and certainly a memorable way to show respect & take part in a historic event.

Is the Queen been embalmed or is the coffin empty? Surely her body has to be kept cold, can't be good for the body spending all this time out and about in relatively warm weather.
The Coffin weighs a quarter ton apparently because its lead sealed, so far as I know they wont be altering anything now except putting it into the ground on Monday.

I see the Queen has eventually ditched that Mercedes with a dodgy wheel bearing and got herself a nice Jag now :).
Designed as part of the plans made beforehand similar to Prince Philips, lit for the dark streets which is a good thought
