Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

I'd be surprised if it beat World Cup final numbers. That would be an impressive feat for a funeral to draw in such big world wide numbers over the worlds most popular(?) sport and the pinnacle at that.

Not the next world cup final, it will be Saudi Arabia versus Qatar, all other teams withdrawn through heat exhaustion at half time. But I digress.

I think that 3.5bn views is the total number of views of the world cup, not the final itself.
But either way can expect north of 500m viewers IMO
Fifa officially confirmed that the 2018 World Cup in Russia was watched by a combined 3.57 billion viewers, equating to more than half of the global population aged four and over. The final between France and Croatia was seen live by a combined 1.12 billion viewers worldwide.25 May 2022

You are correct, however I can see the funeral being viewed by more than that final of 1.12b

It's all on YouTube in HD
you can't watch a utube live stream of UK broadcaster feed, without a license can you ?
...similarly will you not need a bbc license to see the funeral.

Life will go on as a relatively normal bank holiday on Monday for a lot of places/people.
yes, I think the media forget there is an inflation and energy hike - the people who are travelling to London or placing flowers are not those short of a bob,
it's like the free NHS concerts people couldn't afford to attend.
R4 suggestion that Westminster queueing & London full made to look onerous to deter too many people - works for me.

This never gets old

The 2min mark when the producer punches him, and at 2:20 when Charles says "alright I know" had me in stitches
