To be honest I didn't know the WC final drew that many viewers....After what @Kanpai wrote about 517m viewers, I initially thought that was low, but not 3.5b. wow.
Not the next world cup final, it will be Saudi Arabia versus Qatar, all other teams withdrawn through heat exhaustion at half time. But I digress.

yes, I think the media forget there is an inflation and energy hike - the people who are travelling to London or placing flowers are not those short of a bob,
it's like the free NHS concerts people couldn't afford to attend.
R4 suggestion that Westminster queueing & London full made to look onerous to deter too many people - works for me.
