So you agree most of the statements do make sense? Why did you say they didn’t?Non issue, thats how funerals tend to go.
I don't think I've seen a wailing presenter. I've seen many sombre ones though. There is a difference. Also it is a funeral, how else do you expect a funeral to go?
I have no issues possessions being passed down to children, but I can see why this is upsetting to some
I didn't realise that the UK was a dictatorship. you learn something new everyday
Stange you missed the part about the "weird reclusive figure who ran the world's most secretive country, and did it as if it was his own private property"?
Extention of the inheritance bit
What about the bit of spending all the countries money on the crown?
Vague statement and can be for any reason. If you want to think that all the people in the UK are actors who have been paid to say good things about the queen or act sad thats up to you.
Yes that's how a monarchy works. congrats
That tends to happen when something big happens in a country.
You missed the most important one about making myths about the monarchy; such as the queen scoring 11 hole in ones the first time she played golf, or how she invented the hamburger, or how she doesn't need to use the toilet because of her well calibrated body. (Yes these are all myths about NK leader.)
Oh well, the next media headlines will be about how there's 150,000 people milling around the area that the organisers are dodging responsibility for as they "close" the queue.
It will be interesting to see the numbers on how many people do see the Queen lying in state in the end.
Just tried to do some back of the envelope maths and I think there might be fewer than saw King George VI (305,806).
Maybe but unlike back then there are other options besides turning up in person if you wanted a nosy look at the ceremony.
Like the live streams and videos.
I'm sure someone said previously it's 20 minutes.Just looking at it now.
I wonder how long that guard's shifts are for the coffin.

Counted 49 people passing by in an 80 second window. Being generous and assuming that number stays the same on average regardless of guard changes etc.
True, a lot more options than just waiting for a clip on TV or the news reel or whatever as for George VI.Maybe but unlike back then there are other options besides turning up in person if you wanted a nosy look at the ceremony.

Fair enough, shows more observations needed to get an accurate estimate. The rate must vary a fair bit.I just counted 50 people passing through in 30 seconds

Haha, just seen this stream. What's the point? Are they hoping to hear a knock from the inside? I guess it's just on the off chance they capture a newsworthy moment of someone doing something wildly inappropriate that people can all get hot and bothered about.Listening to the Westminster Hall stream in the background, I find it gives me comfort. Always funny when a kid shouts, baby cries, phone goes off. A woman was wailing earlier.
Just saw a clip of this and he certainly got a great welcome. This is the view outside our Cardiff office at the moment..waiting for the king to arrive in the bay as he's currently In Llandaff.
. Although it's much much busier now
Indeed..he's currently In another part of the city at Llandaff cathedral at the moment..its really nice over there.. it's about 5 mins drive from where I live..the crowds look big..Just saw a clip of this and he certainly got a great welcome.
