The queue is like the 8th wonder of the world. I’ve never seen the like and probably will never again.
Apparently all of the MPs bought "skip the line" passes.I have not been following this since the first few days . What’s new? Is she in Buckingham palace?
Have some of the celebrities jumped the que and visited her coffin?
Every MP is being issued with four guys passes to skip the 30-hour queue to see the Queen in Westminster Hall after a ruling by the Black Rod, who is responsible for controlling access to and maintaining order within the House and its precincts.Apparently all of the MPs bought "skip the line" passes.
Having MPs queue for 30 hours would be a security nightmare, not to mention I'd rather have them working rather then wasting time queuing. So it's understandableEvery MP is being issued with four guys passes to skip the 30-hour queue to see the Queen in Westminster Hall after a ruling by the Black Rod, who is responsible for controlling access to and maintaining order within the House and its precincts.
Commons officials are being allowed to queue jump as well and bring one guest.
However cleaners, security staff, workmen and caterers involved in setting up the massive operation will have to queue with the public.

I wonder how many people have passed through the chamber so far?
The whole thing is nonsense. Harry did 10 years and two tours and cant wear it yet Edward who bottled training and quit after a few months and Anne who did absolutely nothing can?I was reading about the uniform situation on another forum and according to them;
Military rules control you can wear the uniform if,
- Hold honorary position of command (Anne, Edward, William)
- Retired from the military (takes a minimum number of years to qualify for retirement). Timothy Lawrence Anne's husband), Duke of Kent and Andrew (23 years Navy listed as retired/reserve) and all the other retired military in the UK who would be at a limited list of functions like a State Event (there's a list of when a retiree can wear the uniform).
- Can not wear uniform if left the military before being able to retire (Harry)
So apparently Andrew has the right and under military rules to wear the uniform as he earned (32 years retired), and Harry can't.
Wow, currently 5 miles long, expected time 14 hours

Any guesstimates as to how many people are in a 5 mile long queue?Yeah, it's going to stop at around that, they won't let it get much longer.

The queue to view the Queen’s lying-in-state will be temporarily closed to new entrants if it reaches 10 miles, it has been confirmed.
