Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

I’m no royal die hard but the ominous nature of all this is hitting quite hard, no idea if it’s because it’s just over a year since I lost my gran but, yeah… :(

A possibly premature question, but. how many countries have pledged to Charles? The commonwealth pledge to a monarch don't they? So Canada, Aus etc. pledged to Elizabeth rather than just the "UK royalty", or have I misunderstood?

If this really is it, I hope she passes peacefully and with dignity after a long life of great service to the country.

Serious question: what does one drink at the passing of the monarch? Like, do we drink champagne to mark the new king? Or what?

Rumours from friends in the police force and the MOD are the police are being prepped for news and MOD have been told if she passes then Charles will announce something at 6pm tomorrow

Watching Sky news and theres a typical looking Royal nerd speaking and he said the the Palace always under- something???? can't bloody remember what he said, but it means what they say is always more positive than what is happening. eg, a Corgi had a boo-boo on the rug = corgi **** on the royal carpet and dragged it ass all over the Palace.

Underwater?

They do tend to under-play things - the health of the older Royals has never been something that's really publicly shouted about unless they're in hospital.
Even in the latter days of Philip, unless he was in hospital most of the statements were in response to twitter rumours that he had died (about 5 times)

Sad news what ever the outcome, hits me a little because she looks the spitting image of what my Gran (rip) looked like.

Same, that's how I see her too.

The writing is on the wall mind you. Especially when the news readers are now all in black. They're awaiting the go-ahead to announce it I reckon.
