Soldato
I’m not a royalist by any means, but what an extraordinary and remarkable woman she was.
RIP

Totally agree. She was a true stateswoman and conducted herself with great dignity. RIP!You dont need to like the Royal Family.
But a fantastic servant of our country has died. Someone who has had an effect on pretty much ALL of our lives has passed away. Its a sad day for the UK.
Rest in Peace my Queen
Very well said and mirrors my feeling exactly.Rest In Peace Queenie; you served immaculately, and will be missed by many.
I’m neither pro, or anti. But it’s sad. It’s disorientating is the best I can describe it.
I meant at the start of a football match in response to whether sporting events should be cancelled. It’s a clearly major historic moment. The idea it should deserve a 1 minute silence and nothing else is clearly nonsense. If you want to carry on and not watch it, then don’t. No one is forcing anyone to watch the news on repeat. For other people, they want to know what’s happening and it is a significant moment.
Im not gutted but its a shock for sure. Cant think of the words tbhI'm no royalist but I'm genuinely gutted.

Very good, fitting too.Good shot at Windsor. The (almost) half mast flag and the rainbow.
The weekend's forthcoming Pride event on Jersey have used the alleged fact Her Majesty once said she wished everything to carry on as normal at her passing to state whatever occurs the event will not be cancelled. So I guess should the worst happen some attendees to shortly forthcoming events will have to decide what to do by conscience and etiquette....
My Mum was born in 1945 and can remember watching HM's coronation as a child. There can’t be many alive who know any different either or have seen a coronation.
