Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Been watching this unfold over the last few days, sad we have lost the Queen, didn’t think I would be but at age 47 she has been there since my birth, Charles is now King, just watching the proceeding last night and now whilst the formalities are completely in line with our traditions ….

All the people throwing shade on the Queen's death etc, I bet those are all pretty glad to get a day off for her funeral.

I haven't been throwing shade around the queens death. I, personally, don't care about it all but I appreciate and respect that others do have some feelings surrounding it

But you're all too right I'm happy with the day off

I disagree, why should an event of State and respect for a monarch's death be handled differently because a forum has some foreign members? It would be interesting to see the reaction in some less tolerant countries to such a suggestion. This is a highly sensitive time when many people in this country are in mourning, it's not a time for inflammatory pokes at how we handle State occasions. In fact it's because some will very sadly take advantage to try and test the limits of tolerance at such a time that there have been rashes of deleted posts.

Oh is OCUK forum an event of State. Sorry I missed that, will we all the UK members be getting invited to the coronation then? Will it be closing for the funeral as well as its part of the State occasion?

Once again you swing and completely miss the point of the post. You then attempt to turn it into something it never was just to stir up resentment and hopefully get posts deleted that you don't agree with. Well done.

No one is disrespecting the monarch here.
