Has anyone had the battery strap turn up?

I see a popular console based retailer states "RELEASE DATE 20/10/2020. 7 DAYS LEFT TO PREORDER" and obviously Amazon just state they'll email sometime if it's convenient to them to possibly inform me if it's remotely coming within the next 3 months..

I nearly ordered it from oculus on launch day with the quest where it initially was available but soon changed status, so perhaps stock is quite low for this strap.

Nope. Just the Quest 2 and link cable. I wasn't expecting it though since they didn't charge me for it yet. (Ordered direct from Facebook first day of preorder)

I would actually say the quest 2 is worse than the original Quest with regard to glasses. The facial interface/foam is noticeably narrower. One of my pairs of glasses doesn't fit and the other pair just barely but they're wedged in place against the foam so not ideal.

The Quest 2 is definitely narrower.

Have a think about printing off some "lens protectors bumpers" if you use glasses. If you don't have a 3D printer search ebay for some - you can get them with TPU tops as well.

FYI - Quest and Quest 2 are the same size lenses, so prescriptions lenses are cross compatible between the wo headsets.

I've upgraded from a Go so finding it about the same comfort wise but being able to adjust the lenses has helped with the blurred image quality I was getting on the Go.

They also sell some foam inserts as accessories so i'd give this a try.

I can confirm this as I'm using my original Quest lenses. I also have some Go lenses which I might try, as they actually have a fixed IPD which might work better on the Quest 2's middle IPD setting.

Got mine first thing i noticed is how small it is.

Yeah, good in some ways that it's smaller but I think fit will be an issue for many glasses wearers. Doesn't help that the Oculus fit pack with a wider interface is an extra £40 either. Might wait and see what VR Cover bring out or look into prescription lenses if I find myself using the headset frequently.

Is the gap around your nose normal or am I misformed? Never tried VR before but its absolutely surreal.

It's something that you get used to though. You just tune it out. It's really handy when you want to see something quickly in real life or need to orientate yourself correctly in your room.

Has anyone noticed the battery cover being slightly loose on their controllers? The one on my left controller has a bit of give in it and I can feel it moving when using it.
