Must be the first time I've pre-ordered something so expensive. First time I've pre-ordered pretty much anything for a long time.

Just gone for the basic 64gb. Space shouldn't be a big issue I'd hope. No idea on better straps/batteries etc, so figured I'd wait and see if I need/want them, and what my options are once 3rd party enters the market.

Same, the accessories can be ordered anytime. 64gb should be enough, and by the time it isn't no doubt the quest 3 will be out lol

Happy spending £299 on something which I still think is in it's infancy....and knowing me, I'll be hooked on tetris anyway

£399 is a fair chunk of cash, especially since my son wants the new xbox, and daughter the new ipad for Christmas

I'm thinking it's only recently that games have been bigger than 64gb for a PC, and as good as VR games may be, they're not that big yet! And anything that big will need a dedicated graphics card anyway, so will be through the link.

This looks like the big step to me. Quest was always tempting, but this is looking highly recommended. Took the plunge. I was looking at 2nd hand quests at £300, so this was a no brainer.

Just let my wife know, I suspect she'll be fine, she's been thinking about VR for a while, so I should be safe.

Had to measure my IPD though, my eyes are close together, quick go in the mirror suggests I'm bang on 58mm, so should be just fine with the narrowest setting.

Sod it :D

Yeah, it's android based and those games are not massive. Now copying 3d movies to it might be an issue (the best avengers endgame 3d is 23gb) but I assume you can stream it over from plex.....or you can get those tiny usb drives now, don't know if they work or not
