It's great, but the graphics are more cut down and blurrier than the PC version. If you want portable, go for the Quest version, otherwise go for PC and play via link. I bought both versions in the end as there was a special offer on the Epic store.

How do you think it will look on the quest 2
 
That Ars Technica article is pretty bad, big complaints about IPD.

I didn't have much problem with the fixed IPD on the Go, (66mm IPD) so I hope the Quest 2 is ok. The IPD slider on the Quest is a pain anyway as it gets knocked out of position and can trigger while playing.

Sharper, but it'll still be lower detail and blurrier textures than the PC.

The main thing about the Quest 2 is the much reduced SDE (Screen door effect). Lots of games will still be rendering at lower than screen res and so might look slightly blurred or aliased, but the lack of SDE will really help improve image quality.

I'm hoping this will replace my Go as my 3D movie player. The Quest wasn't brilliant for movies because the OLED pentile subpixels caused a lot of fringing.

Comfort, probably, but there's no audio solution. However as the strap is designed to be detachable it's almost certain there'll be 3rd party straps with audio, or audio add-ons for the deluxe strap.

Thingiverse will have them within a few days of release :D Only thing is that the DAS is black.
 
ordered 64G with the high end strap. delivery moved from 14th to 15th as I was doing the order.

off to cex tomorrow to hand over my quest 1
 
Forgot to order the deluxe strap. I have rectified this oversight now.

I will have an audio solution up on Thingiverse as soon as I get my hands on it. I use Koss Porta Pro phones attached to a halo strap at the moment.
 
Ive not bothered with the strap. I messed about with two different straps on the quest 1 and ended up buying one from China. It wasn't that great - and you can't lie back with it because the adjustment knob makes it uncomfortable to lie back on. Will see how the standard one fares.

My thoughts were even if the original strap is bad, I want to wait on reviews to find one that's better, before spending cash on it.
 
Think I'll be ordering. Will wait until after the PS5 event though. I can afford one "thing" for the rest of this year. The £299 price, and the fact it's something different means it just pipped the Xbox Series S (or possibly X through All Access). At the end of the day, I can play all of the games on Xbox through either my One S or my PC.
