Quest 3 owners etc

So I installed Meta plus 6 month trial and installed Red Matter, Green Hell and Fruit Ninja. Red Matter seems a great game, lot of wow moments and just seems very well done. Green Hell seems a bit meh but I'll persevere and F Ninja is a lot of fun I can play with my girlfriend. So good shout Unseul. :)

Plus another great thing is so far I haven't experienced any VR sickness. I think it's because I'm mostly using teleport movement in stuff I've tried so far.

I'd reckon that Walkabout mini golf is a half decent way to build your VR legs, in flight mode. Start off with a low movement speed, and make sure you're 100% OK, then start to increase it.

Township tale is a game a few of us bought a while back, and I'm thinking about trying again, seeing how many updates they've done, but it's another with smooth movement options that could be a good way to get into it. Take it slow, build up, and quit if you start to feel at all nauseous. Careful with driving and flight sims, as that's a quick way to push it too hard :D

Mines arrived, was due Friday so see how much time I get to set it up tonight...

There a list of the 'To Do' when first unboxing them?

First up would be to create a Meta account and use a Referral code BEFORE you activate your Quest 3. This will give you £23 of store credit.

Assuming the device is charged up and you are logged in, next would be putting yourself in a suitable space, ideally a couple of metres across and without a huge flat screen TV or other fragile items in touching distance. A lockable door is great if you might want to stop people wandering into the danger zone whilst you are fighting off zombies. :D

Try the included Introductory Meta apps to give you a feel for what the unit can do. And everyone recommends Walkabout Mini Golf as a fun game that works well in VR and doesn't induce VR sickness. Maybe try a few things like this before jumping into the more challenging stuff such as flight and racing sims.

Just ordered mine as well (MQ3, 512GB), should be here in the next 2 days.

Where would one find these referral codes ? Do you get them of friends in this 'meta land' or does the thing come with a code in the box ?

You don't appear to have private messaging enabled for this forum. If you message me I can send you a referral code.

Hmmm, wont use referal code, says its not valid, if I go into the Devices, it sees my Q3 but says "Your device is not covered by an active warranty, or the warranty has expired."
Seems to be a common thing...

Did you buy any chance register the Q3 to your account before using the referral code?
