Quest 3 owners etc

I think I must be an idiot. I’ve got the VR P10 plugged in and they worked last night, I had a faff connecting them. Then when I turned on the headset today they just didn’t seem to connect. Should the automatically connect if the quest is on and I take them out of their pod? Do I need to connect to the dongle through the app on the phone? I’m confused and I swear I read the manual -.-

mine haven't arrived so , so i do not know
no idea who has them

Reddits absolutely exploded, something clearly not right. VR Flight Sim Guy not happy

Seems like there are some QC issues with the Q3.

Dead pixels and mura are the most common complaints.

Still even with my Pro I had issues and got it swapped, but the new one does seem to have worse lenses with distortion at the edges. I probably should have returned it but only noticed it a bit later.

You get 1 for pre-ordering 2, and you've effectively pre-ordered two.
I have got Asgard 1 installed on the hard drive on my pc plus Oculas Dream Deck, don,t suppose they can be moved over to my Quest 3 can they ?

I played it for a bit via airlink this morning, looks pretty good.

Cheers all

Maybe you have to enable them again in the Soundcore app on your phone ?

Cheers all

Oculus/Meta PC games can't be played natively. You have to use link/Airlink on modern Meta headsets or a cable on the old Oculus ones.

through the oculous ?
that is cross play, so you can play it either native on the headset (Q2 or Q3) or via PCVR (Q2 or Q3)

Ahh ok thanks for your help.

Some games are cross-buy and you can get the other version for free, but only if there are both PC and native versions. Sometimes even if there are they're not cross-buy, e.g. Beat Saber.

If the other version is free then you have to 'get' it from the appropriate store page. You don't get it automatically.

Is it not just the case of how well your play area is lit.?
Small camera sensors are simply bad in more challenging conditions and have to boost iso to compensate which makes image very grainy.
YouTubers usually have very bright studio lights which help with that.
Probably best to try it on a sunny day.
I know Disco VR said that you need to try it in very well lit room to get the most out of it.
I'm wondering if its something to do with the type of lighting, our VR room is very well lit, two large overhead lights but they are those sort of yellow energy saving lights rather than white-lights. We've tried both the headsets outside and the passthrough was much better out in the daylight. So although our VR room is very brightly lit, I wonder if theres something about the energy saving lights which is making the passthrough in the room so poor. On the plus side, no dead pixels on either headset.

tonight's game

The first encounters game is a ton of fun in an open plan lounge kitchen. Big space, have to go around the island to make sure there's none hiding behind it. Placing walls where you need them is smart too with doorways etc.

Some absolute gems of games to come I'm sure.
