Quest 3 owners etc

as much as i do have minor new toy envy i think everything i have read confirms i am better skipping this gen and keeping my quest pro. i dont do a huge amount of standalone and any games which come out i can always get in 2 - 3 years time.

i wont lie tho, the Q3 is seeming to be far better than the reports a few months back were suggesting, with its 2 screens and improved FOV. if i had my £535 back in my pocket today which would i get?

i am not sure but probably the pro, mostly for the controllers.

They work really well I had a pair of those arrive yesterday morning.

Just successfully streamed No Mans Sky Vr from my PC to my Quest 3 via the Virtual Desktop app, looks like Half Life Alyx will be added to my list of games to add to this new headset.

Hope you enjoy your new purchase :)

I would imagine its the full game but on a 15 minute timer, tempting you to buy it afterwards.

Yep, I believe you're right. In the headset it says I'm currently at 1.6 GB/5.4 GB after about 15 minutes and looking on the Meta app, the game says 5.6 GB space required. My Internet connection is only up to about 110 mbps so this is going to take about another 45 minutes to an hour to download.

At 110mbps it should take you less than 7 minutes to download the whole game.
It’s meta’s servers that are dog slow at times.

Yeah, actually it finished downloading just a few minutes after my last post so didn't take long at all. So I began the trial and started learning how to use the controllers to move forward, sprint, jump and climb walls. Really enjoyed it but didn't get far before the trial ended, lol. I've not done much VR gaming before so it's all pretty new to me. I do need a new eye prescription for sure but I'm wondering if others get super sharp graphics on games and apps? I find I get fairly soft focus compared to if I was say looking at the same graphics on a monitor. I don't know if it's a VR thing or my eyes
