Quest 3 owners etc

My replacement Quest 3 is with Royal Mail, will be here on or before Friday the 13th. Hope it's got no faults such as dead pixels like my 1st one.

Did you have to call them to get a replacement for the same price? I can see online there is an option to generate a return and mark as faulty, but I don't know if this generates a replacement.

I keep hearing about that game, I need to try it myself.
It's great fun. I wasn't expecting much, but watched a few YouTubers on it. The skill was more interesting than the songs, but there's some thumping tunes too. Highly satisfying when you beat your first expert+ difficulty. Managed potentially my first expert+ full combo (no missed notes/bad strokes) today on my Q3.

Yeah, I just played the demo. First few tries I was like 'meh, this will get old quick' and was about to uninstall it. Tried the demo again and got hooked. Great fun. :D. By the third try my score had improved to 172 out of 195 and during the fourth attempt my headset battery died. Really forces you to keep your reactions sharp, especially when the red and blue cubes swap positions and slicing directions! Reminds me of a similar game I played years ago on the Samsung Gear VR. Not sure if I want to spend £23 though on the full version. Apart from getting faster and harder, does the scenery and objects to slice change or does it look the same all the way through?

No the replacement isn't automatic or anything. I posted the faulty Q3 back then later ordered a 2nd Q3. I could not use 20% discount code on this online.

I've phoned them twice about getting the 20% discount on the 2nd Q3. The first time i phoned i explained the 1st Q3 was faulty and that i'd posted it back and ordered another, the chap i spoke to said yeh no problem you'll get the discount applied to the 2nd Q3 "within 24 hours" (it'd show on my account). This was complete BS. It didn't. So i phoned again, spoke to a woman this time, she said once i'd received an SMS from Very confirming they'd received the faulty Q3 back, i should phone them to get the discount.

So 2 different answers from the same company. Rubbish non uk call centre who just say anything to get u off the phone, I had similar with Tesco mobile. If u check trustpilot reviews for Very, 23% of them are 1 star reviews mostly complaining about customer service. I'm hoping i'll get the discount at some point if i keep pressing for it.

The scenery varies with the different songs. Objective stays pretty much the same. You can get 25% off with a referral.

I don't play it as much, but still generally do a song or three when I have a little play on my headset. The fact it's just 2-3 minutes long makes it very easy to just grab, play and put down.

The return to meta was quite straight forward, even though my printer ran out of paper, and had to drive to the local DHL depot. Refund was processed within 24hrs of sending it off which was quite good.
Lady at the depot was a bit of a pain though. She had to open up literally everything to check it all. Headset out, power cable etc etc. Guess they've had scammers sending bricks back in the past.

That's no good, I'm not buying from them without the discount, that was the whole point.

Exactly. For nearly £100 off MSRP i'm going to try to get the discount rather than go elsewhere but if i have no luck before the 30 day return window i may return it. That said, if my incoming Quest 3 is fault free i.e. no dead pixels i'll probably keep it irrespective of the discount or not.

Will do

2 days to charge otherwise lol

I tried turning the dongle but that didn't work for me.
I saw on Reddit that people where having issues trying to charge their q3 using the elite battery strap... Same issue with the charge light came on then went off after 10 seconds.
Maybe a firmware issue?
I did charge mine using the USB a cable last night , it was slow but worked.

I'm seeing up to 23W power draw from my power bank when charging while playing so battery % does go up.
