Quest 3 owners etc

Just a thought of someone who hasn't a Quest 3 yet, still think its a fair bit on the expensive side,

Considering that the Quest 2 is selling for £300 and is still a good headset, if we take into consideration that tech development marches on, that we can probably buy a more powerful pc today for the same price or even cheaper that a lessor spec pc three years ago, would you not think that the same criteria applies to a VR headset such as the Quest 3?

Just thinking that probably its costing Meta no more to make a Quest 3 than a Quest 2 (taking the Tech marching on factor into consideration) they could probably sell the 128GB version for the same price or a little more than the Quest 2.

Has anyone else noticed tracking problems with their controllers? Sometimes they’ll act as if my index finger is touching the trigger on either the left or right, preventing me from getting into hand tracking mode.
 
Still not received my pre order from the jungle. Had email telling me delayed due to supply problems, this was swiftly followed by email telling me it would be delivered today. Once again no sign. Have cancelled order and now reordered on meta. Hopefully they will have stock of their own items quicker as now being old estimated delivery next Tuesday. Am getting serious device envy here !

I dunno what inflation is elsewhere but don't forget our £1 is worth about 15% less than when quest 2 launched. ..... for that would account for £70 of the inreased price.
that said it would not surprise me if meta have factored in wiggle room for a price cut 3 months after launch once the vr fanboys (and girls) have all got theirs and Xmas is our of the way. it would not be the 1st time they did this. I could easily see a £399/£499 price cut coming early ish next year

Q2 rose £100 in price for a period, so I'd not expect price cuts too early. Could be wrong.

I doubt they drop the cost as well due to the budget version they're supposedly releasing.

I assume you're putting your controllers down for this? Make sure you've not put them down on the trigger, so it's getting slightly depressed and thinking there's a finger there.
 
Just tried my Q3 on pcvr in Iracing. I'm a bit underwhelmed by the graphics quality. I was hoping it'd be a good deal better than my HP Reverb G2 that I've been using for the last two years.
Not much difference at all as far as I can see. Very much "Meh". :)
To be fair I've only tried it for 5 minutes with graphics settings I'd been using for the G2. Gotta get off to work now. I'll try having a fiddle with the graphics settings over the weekend.

We had a box of 20 quest 2s turn up in the office yesterday. They are for another department, god knows what they want them for.
Anyway, as you'd expect I started checking them for dead pixels. Managed to test five of them, all bloody perfect!!!!

My third one is supposed to be coming today.....I know damn well it will have one.

Just noticed slight brightness flicker this morning, restarted the headset and it was still there but went away after about a minute.
That was while being in home environment.
Not noticed that before although been getting brightness flicker with VD all the time.
Anyone else noticed that.?
