Oh Quake 3 and Quakelive are my most played games ever, I played between 2002 to about 2011, free for all deathmatches and 1v1 matches online. I was pretty good with the railgun.not played doom vr yet

If you have a PC, then play Doom 3 Fully Posessed rather than the Quest version. Looks incredible in VR, and will be better even than the Quest 3 version with enhancements.
A laptop is fine for loading sidequest and sideloading games on your headset. Once sideloaded and the game files copied across you don't need your PC connected.Actually, since I don't have a gaming pc and only a have a bog standard laptop, I'm not equipped for PCVR so maybe I can't do either of those Doom games in standalone.

I've ordered the BINBOK VR T3 would have gotten the Bobo but it sounds like its not keeping up with the drain form the Q3, Binboks keeps the headset charged or so people say, its $55 (£44.46) for the headstrap and one battery and $99(£80.03) for headstrap x2 bats and charger.
Think its priced same as bobo as the £54 one only come with one battry too and you gotta buy more and the charger.
Agreed. I'm not sure if you're aware but there's HD graphics mods that iirc works with HL2 VR, makes a nice difference visually.Really enjoying HL2 VR mod on the Q3. I never played HL2 at the time, it's a great game and very well converted for VR.
I'm using the 3.0 beta from steam VR, which enhances the graphics, is that the one ?Agreed. I'm not sure if you're aware but there's HD graphics mods that iirc works with HL2 VR, makes a nice difference visually.
Yes i think that 1 enhances the graphics, there's others too, i'm not sure how they compare, I forget which 1 i used.I'm using the 3.0 beta from steam VR, which enhances the graphics, is that the one ?
I stopped after a while. Claw grip, given where the tracking lights are on the controllers, is never going to work well. If anything what he's really showing is how good hand tracking has come along.Wow that video was a hard watch. The guys voice made it feel about 40 mins long. Is it really as bad as he was making out?

I can't say I've had the issues he's had, the main two "quick" games I've done with it are pistol whip and beat saber, I've got good scores on both, including new high scores on beat saber (expert+), now I don't play the camilla tracks, but still, tracking has felt good to me.
I have noticed in walkabout golf some issues though, typically I've realised that I've had long sleeves on (hoody etc) which likely blocks the tracking light at times, it's also going to be tough to hand track, the controller tracking will be limited to a single IR light too, which will mean a lack of depth calculating options.
I liked the rings, and don't think the new design is better as such, but I can't say I've had major issues so far with tracking. Does anyone know if q2 controllers are compatible with the q3?
VR Cover and AMVR are both producing aftermarket LED tracking rings for the Q3 controllers.
