Quest 3 owners etc

Haven't had much time since my quest 3 arrived to try it out, in the mean time I ordered a new strap from Maecker and a carry case.
Should have a few hours tomorrow to give it a go, any tips and or tricks please do share, or any games you'd recommend.
I'm looking forward to Half Life Alyx which looks fantastic, also this Kayaking game I've seen on the store looks really good to just chill out in.
I'm excited to say the least, how difficult is it to stream what you're seeing to a TV for others to watch?

The Maecker strap is definitely much more comfortable than the Meta supplied strap but the I'm also finding it very irritating as the spinner adjuster keeps resetting the size when I pick the headset up/put it down so I keep having to move it again. It just won't stay in place. I may be returning mine and waiting for the Kiwi Design one (which I had on the Quest 2).

You'll need chromecast or a firestick with the Airscreen app installed for streaming to TV.

Depends what you like. Half Life Alyx is indeed great. Very different but also great in VR are Walkabout Mini Golf and Eleven Table Tennis. If you like pinball tables they are fun in VR. Lots of people rave about Beat Sabre. I thought The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners was a really good VR game. Currently Dungeons of. Eternity is popular but I haven't had a chance to try it for myself yet.

This is what I'm currently getting on my Quest 3, it would probably go faster but it looks like cpu is struggling with that speed plus adds on the website because its very stuttery and ping is way too high.

I'm impressed, I didn't think wireless tech could actually sustained anything close to 1G transfer, for some reason in my mind I thought the max was about 6-700M

It is impressive indeed, my iPhone 13 pro max does about 790mbps using 5Ghz band.
Higher frequencies can usually transfer data faster.

Gotta love Virgin Media's down to upload ratio 1GB down 100Mbps up, great..

That's a limitation of cable technology and isn't specific to Virgin Media. It was originally designed for TV delivery so didn't need massive upload speeds. That limitation still exists today though it has been improved.

Nah Richard Branson keeping all the upload for himself the greedy git.

There was mention of 4XVR earlier in this thread. I have a couple of 3D Blu-ray movies now so I'd like to watch them in VR. I currently use Skybox VR for my films but that doesn't (yet) support 3D MVC and I'd rather not have to convert them to side-by-side just to do that. Skybox are apparently looking at adding MVC support so I'm happy to wait a bit to see if that materialises but I'm curious if there are any other compelling reasons that 4XVR is better and worth the extra ~£20. I stream all my films over the network and both apps support that, which also means I don't care about USB support.

Thoughts?

4XVR runs at 120hz and gives me 100% smooth playback where skybox does not and drops or doubles some frames even at 72hz which in theory should be mostly smooth (3x24fps).

Only reason why I've kept my PS4 and PSVR around so I can still watch my 3D Blu-Rays easily.
