** R9 290X Watercooling Thread **

I would have to call you: Alatar, Yungbenny or Malmental if you got those cards.

Why? Well because you're blatantly ignoring the price and BETTER PERFORMANCE AND SCALING of 7970/280x crossfire.

But yea, its good if you want pc swag.

I am full of reason my friend ;)

Having used CF since last year I can confirm that pure performance is massive. My three 6950s beat a Titan in most cases and average fps is always high.
Unfortunately quality is not as good.

Plain and simple the driver is bad. And the occasional stuttering or fps drop is all too common unfortunately and frame pacing has also not really fixed the issue yet. From what I read SLI is pretty mature and much better quality wise. Add a gsync monitor next year and everything will be smooth as a baby's behind.

To top it off I could use 3d with this setup as my current monitor natively supports 3d vision, although I am not sure yet if I actually want 3d...

The only reason I was considering the r290x was to get away from CF in the first place without performance loss and have a temporary solution in place until I could SLI two Maxwell cards sometime next year.

Releasing the 780 ti sends and clear signal that Maxwell still has some months before it arrives, so I am more than happy to swith to Nvidia now considering I really like the idea of gsync.

Orangey same here... I was checking their website every day 3 times a day.

I was hoping that ocuk got some in warehouse last week before 25th.. If i knew they did not i would have ordered them dirrectly from slovakia. Would have been cheaper anyhow after prices went up on them !!!!

I was lucky to get a block and a backplate! Now im just waiting for my card...

I know you can buy closed loop liquid coolers for CPU's (I have one, Seidon 240m)

Can you get them for Graphics cards as well? I can't be bothered messing about with a full-on custom water cool.

My 350d has space for another 240mm radiator.
