I'm slowly getting there in Oval racing. I managed my first win in a legends race last night. I felt my victory was slightly tainted though due to the fact I managed to accidentally take the leader out. With about 2 laps to go the leader slowed because there was lapped traffic in front of him. I got a really good run out of the corner and saw a small gap coming out of the corner but unfortunately I ended up between two cars and there wasn't really enough room. End result was one of the cars was sent spinning down the track and took out the leader. Careless move on my part trying to chase the win but I guess you learn from your mistakes.

Thought I was making progress on the late models after I managed consistant 15.8s on Oxford Plains but then I ended up in a split where they were all running 15.5s so I ended up last!

If you decide to take a break from iracing then renew again in the future, you will still have the cars/tracks/licence that you had when the membership ran out.

Anyone running in the 'Grand touring cup'? Im currently running in Div 7 due to being pants. But it's still very competitive and fun(just hate the mx5's buzzing around me)

Yeah I'm currently second in division 6 in the Jetta.

I really want to take part in that series after some brilliant MX-5 races in Week 13, but I have so many tracks to buy now that I'm racing the Radical that I really don't want to have to shell out for the Jetta too.

Is ze Jetta fun?

I'm racing mostly in the skippy's and occasionally trucks (well I tried 3 races at michigan, didn't finish a single one, not a great record

Yep, but I don't think you can say "I've got 3 months left, but not going to use it for 2 months, so pause the sub and restart it with 3 months left in 2 months time" if that makes sense. I think that's what they were asking, but could well be wrong...

imo no, the Jetta is seriously dull, but then the series is supposed to be good fun and if it was just the cost of a car I'd go for it, you may be one of the weird one's that likes racing a fwd diseasel

Don't worry about it, I was slow last season. It wasn't until my second race this season that I noticed that when I eased the power back on whilst I was coming off the brakes I could get the car to rotate into the corners.
