I believe multiple accounts are allowed (after all they might sell more content so why would they stop them :p) your name will end up being "John Smith2" though which would irritate me :p

So how's everyone going, we got down to page 8 :o

Anyway, last night I was racing in the Club England Oval series, nice 50 lap race at Michigan, and off what ended up being the last restart I was in the lead and managed to gain a 4 second lead whilst still lapping consistently at a reasonable pace, things were looking great for a victory until my damn internet connection dropped out briefly :(

Worst bit is I was driving really well, conserving tyres/fuel and still lapping quickly, it was 'easy' and then that happens...

The new tyre model is out on one car now, the Nationwide 'COT', it's quite good although a few flaws, and too many retard americans who can't hold a steady line through a corner yet think they're the best driver ever so drive ridiculously aggressively for a few laps after every restart before they inevitably crash like an idiot and take out a couple of decent drivers with them.

Can you tell I just got wrecked out of yet another race due to a retard american?

And calm...

Yes, 'iRacing 2.0' is, in theory, the build in August, I think Week 13 is the last week of July, new season starts on 2nd August if I'm reading the schedule right...

Just started ti get into oval racing, gonna have to build up my SR so i can get into races with the nationwide but from the few practices i've tried it seems pretty good.

Been running around in the star mazda at mossport today as well, quite fun.

Oval/nascar racing isnt my thing. The screaming, cheating Americans would put me right off . . . Forza and xbl generaly was bad enough

The feel of the car with the new tyre model is great, a massive change from the old tyre model and shows just how flawed it was, no idea how that will translate to road cars as they're obviously completely different.

On the racing subject, earlier I was angry, now I'm 'buzzing' after a great race, top split again, ranked 16th but came 8th with a ~15 lap green run at the end on worn tyres that was a lesson in concentration with a quicker guy on newer tyres trying to get past, really good fun :D

I can understand that, although ovals with this new tyre model, or short tracks with the late model/SK are completely different to anything else I've tried and surprisingly good fun.

Anyway, for you the fun won't come until the end of july/beginning of august as I said, just to further that though there are 2 new road cars that are definitely going to be on the NTM, and the plan is to have all other road cars on it for the release as well but seeing as the Nationwide car was ~7 weeks late I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it on all cars but god knows which if that's the case...

i like i racing however i got fed up of people who dont understand what a blue flag is and try to blatantly hold you up while your fighting it out for a position. Or worst case tap you off.

This happened every race i played, i was not over aggressive i just hoped on back straight they would move over.

not sure i will get back into it as the cost looks like it would be loads, and Race 07 /other games i enjoy more.

Just had a race in the carburetor cup in the impala, no incidents came 4th but recieved no boost in SR? Maybe im missing something really simple but why is that?

It's classed as a fun event so doesn't impact on iRating or Safety Rating, same goes for the aptly named Formula Fun.

Which is a good job because there's this one guy that runs almost every Daytona / Talledega race and he wrecks EVERY RACE. I've seen him finish once out of about 40-50 races. It's annoying because I know 100% that if I start anywhere near him I'm not finishing the race.

Texas with the NTM has been a total washout for me. I can't even finish a race without running into someones wreck. I suppose my crash avoidance isn't that good but I shouldn't have to avoid this many wrecks!

It has been a good demonstration of the NTM though. The race I did finish I ran my tyres too hard and it completely destroyed them. Ended up losing a ton of time because the car just wouldn't turn.
