It's a shame it doesn't match you with similarly skilled drivers.
Once you get out of the rookie classes it does, it matches you to drivers with a similar iRating to yourself.

@Bean0 do you still race? We used to race together in LFS.
Yeah, I recognised you username from back in the day
Still active(ish) in LFS, my team did the MoE 24hr just last weekend and got a decent result. We mostly do the endurance events and leagues rather than pick-up races.
I do play iR as well, but keep missing races due to the scheduling. Elkdanger is on there too.
http://www.nessoft.com/ispeed/ does the below & more.
I don't use it as it puts me off I start driving to hard.
Shows best splits, comparison to best splits, and optimal lap times (thanks, Stephane).
Shows time delta compared to best lap.
Shows speed +/- compared to your best lap at this point on the track.
Can show +/- speed and deltas for someone else's lap file.
Can show statistics from another computer via the web interface.
Can show statistics on your iPhone / iPod touch / similar.
I don't know if i should thank you or shout at you, on the one hand this is really great and i wish i knew about it sooner as i use a reduced fov so don't see the dials all that great. On the otherhand i am now looking at small lcd's so i can run it on that
Don't have a netbook, though that would be an option
Nope.I do have one question regarding SR. Sometimes when I make contact with someone very slightly it displays Car Contact (x0). Does this have any effect on my SR?
Have you done any qualifying or TTs ?
They also count towards SR, but with a multiplier of 0.35 or so.
It's easier to increase SR once you get out of the Rookie series.
You do longer races on longer tracks, so more corners per race.
