Rainbow 6: Siege - Closed Beta

Played this for 6 hours straight last night, I think it's a fantastic game. I didn't have any expectations going into it but it's a must buy for me now.

Tried everything, Disables firewall, disabled anti virus, uninstalled anti virus, uninstalled uPlay client, cleaned registry, removed all left over files, reinstalled uPlay client, restarted PC, to no avail. Nothing is working, I give up.

Definitely will NOT be buying or using another Ubisoft game/software ever again.

just tried it and downloading at 5mb/s on my uplay client

which is the max for my connection so no issues here
 
RainBow 6 dont use p2p for game connection :D

We have dedicated servers that are used to host the games. The p2p that people are talking about is strictly to support voice and chat comms for a team, not the host the match itself.

But why Host migration? Answer
When you see the migrating host message, it is migrating the host of the team, which is necessary in order to maintain voice and text comms. We tried to implement the team hosting in a stable way, but in the process we got a little overzealous, leading to the game "freezing" when the migration happens. Closed Beta is still a work in progress and fixing this will be one of the many improvements we make after. Thank you for your understanding.

The matchmaking is utterly rubbish, latency is a huge issue, and I don't buy any of that rubbish about it not using P2P for the game connection. The game itself, when you're in, is pretty good. But I'm afraid that for a PC game today, proper hosting should be a given, not this stupid rubbish that they've implemented.
 
Yeah I'm really bored with this already.

Majority of the gadgets and stuff are fairly useless, borderline ineffective. I

f you get a team thats not particularly good they just get stomped in about 10 secs then its back to waiting 20 mins to get another game.

Maps are actually pretty good, but its irrelevant how well you set up your defenses and stuff cos most of the time a shield attacker will just walk straight up to the objective pistol shotting everyone on his way through.

Just seems really lacklustre and has done nothing to make me want to keep playing so far
