Rain's Parvum Watercooling Log

Aaah Noooo! That's not good!

It looks like there's not much on any hardware though, so it should be alright!

Yeah aside from scaring myself it was all good, just required a bit of a clean up afterwards.

Started putting everything back into place:

Will get some proper 'final' photos done a bit later once I'm happy everything is ready again

If you have a parvum, there's a little plate with holes in, so you screen the hdds into the plate, then attach the plate to the mobo tray and the top of the parvum (well, not the very top, there's a little shelf)

Mine was bought directly from Parvum as a custom design...they forgot to include those! Ahh well, will ghetto mount them somewhere :p
They cut out USB mounting on the front and didn't include the actual USB either.

Have you tried contacting them about it?

All the niggles I had with my case and needing spare parts were dealt with immediately.

Not the best photos but it will do.

So to start off with, here is how the case looked before the watercooling began.

And how it looks now!

Whilst no project is ever really 'done' I would have to say that for the moment I won't be touching it again for ~6 months (probably be 2 weeks before I start tinkering again :D)

Think my next upgrade will be a new top end Nvidia GPU with a proper backplate!! (never did find one for the 580 )

I'd like to give thanks to the guys are Parvum who delivered impeccable service when I needed it, really love the case and can see myself investing time & money in the future with your products again.

I would also like to thanks davido_labido for the braiding he did for me on my 24 pin and 8/6pin cables. Excellent prices and overall a very good job. Check him out on Just Sleeve it to me

Cheers

nice work.

when you had the corsair "all in one" cooler in there what config did you have? pushpull on the rad as an intake or an exhaust? and the fan next to it also?

I only had 1 fan on the bottom of the rad that was pulling iirc.

Due to my motherboards heat-sinks I couldn't fit in another fan at the top.

Also that H80 was quite large in width, so much so that I couldn't fit the side door onto the case. So keep an eye out for that if you are going with something similar.

ahh ok thats good to know,

could you not have fitted it so the tubes out the rad were on the left hand side? (as you look at it from the windowed side)

im actually looking at the H100 (orientated as i described)

Potentially, I remember at the time I wasn't worried about having the window off as I was doing the rebuild pretty soon after. I think the issue was I couldn't mount my H80 any other way due to heat sinks from the MB getting in the way.

I would look at the dimensions of the h100 and compare with the parvum and to take into any sticking out objects like RAM or motherboard heat sinks that potentially could get in the way.
