Raspberry Pi - $35 Linux computer

I don't get it, I've had my interest registered since day one, but never got an email or anything saying I can now order :(

There's no order button on farnell either, just the register interest form?

The first batch contains less than 2000 boards, so I would have thought the reason you still can't order is because you didn't order very early on that day?

Farnell allowed orders over a month ago, you have to register interest with them and they will send you an invite. The delivery date is purely guess work though.
 
I registered my interest last month. Had an email off Farnell UK on the 3rd April with a subject- Pre-order your Raspberry Pi Now.

Which I did. I then had another email with an order reference number but can't find anywhere on the site to track the status of it.... :(

I registered interest on the day I could, I didn't ever see an order button or get an invite to pre-order though :(
 
I'm just going to wait until you can easily get hold of them now. By then there should be many more operating systems written for it etc
 
Just checked my SPAM folder had the email sitting there for the last 4 days doh!

Should have my Pi within 7 days :D

Unless you actually want to develop you should hold off. Let actual developers get one so that when you can get a boxed one for about £5 more you'll have a lot more choice of software and os'. People that are just going to get one play with it for a few days then ignore it are being a bit selfish tbh and it will delay the software development stage.

Wishful thinking, I ordered mine a month ago, AFTER the pre-orders and they've been delayed at least a month due to soldering on the wrong ethernet ports.

This is for the second batch, not the first, and mine is predicting delivery for next month, so you have no chance :)

(Unless of course your email is for the dispatch and not the "invite to buy one".)
 
MIne came from Farnell this morning, will be having a quick play with it this evening but I'm going out so will be tomorrow when I properly ge round to it!

Hoping to maybe have time to kick a quick server disto out on my site before I head out but we will see.
