RC cars

Motor and general consumables arrived! Got a good brushless 17.5 motor that should be fine for now - also legal for most 17.5 stock classes so is a good spec motor to have in the arsenal - new front alloy c-hubs also in this delivery, replacing the shiny plastic ones from the kit that have a lot of slop and flex.

Forgot how much stuff you need in the pitbox to go racing - so the rest of it was shock oils and lubricants, and some foam trye inserts.

Now anxiously awaiting the rcmart delivery today :D

Hopefully will contain some more proper wheels to use on the TT-02B and also the final pair of driveshafts so I can relegate the plastic dogbones to the spares box.

Fingers crossed tomorrow I get the Tamiya alloy dampers (Hopup for DF03 buggy but are the best fit without splashing out silly money on the big bore aeration buggy damper set).

Have to admit - this end of the world crap that's going on right now does have its upsides, never had the time or cash to do this stuff again until now. I dread to think how much my dad must have been spending all those years ago running mine and my brothers cars each season - just the tyres alone must have been killer, doesn't really register when your still a kid I suppose.

Just an update.
I got a PL8 V2 coming and a new Coolice power supply :)
Which model did you go for (and was it pricey if you don't mind me asking?)

Does he only do AC to DC supplies? I have an AC charger that I'd like to be able to take to meets and would like to get a DC to AC supply for it rather than getting a dedicated DC charger - if it's cost effective

I went for the 2400W and 100 amp version. @£160 including is not bad.
I would email him to find out.

Main reasons I went with him was I have a good warranty\It's UK based.
And I heard good things about him.

@Yrkoon Can you share more details on that tank please? What make is it?

Also, was that a badger or a cat slinking around in the background of that video?

haha not a badger just my fat cat having a waddle :P

can't remember what make he said it was but i remember him saying underneath its basically a henglong, has loads of metal parts including the tracks and shoots wee yellow plastic balls out the turret :)

that servo is well and truely tested, massive puddles spraying up muddy stuff and hasn't skipped a beat on the lunchie, for some reason the pic is meh as the one i got has a metal strip around it :)

just wish these ones would come into stock for my more demanding models https://www.modelsport.co.uk/etroni...gear-servo-waterproof/rc-car-products/1331346

free shipping there is back down to 100 instead of 200 quid :)

im very drunk again :P

Are the Etronix servos particularly good? I've just been going for metal geared ones around £12 to £15, whatever was in stock. I've had a mixture of Absima and Core RC ones. They claim to be 9kg which seems plenty for these smallish cars, they seem more powerful than the old Acoms ones from years back.

Savox servos are good - metal geared ones start about £20
You only need a decent 6kg servo for 1/10th electric tbh (and speed matters a bit) unless you have a very heavy model or are racing at very high speed on a high traction surface

Finally got around to painting a shell for my clodbuster.
