I got an interesting package this morning.

They’re going in a MST RMX RRX 2.5s I bought last year. Been slowly collecting all the things I need.

Yes it’s a gyro. Gonna be fun setting all this lot up. I’m learning as I go.
wow i just googled that car, it looks leagues ahead of any thing i have, just curious about one thing, what does the gyro actually do? i have some helis etc just curious why a car would have one?

im just a rc basher so racing stuff i know little about :)

this is my only drifter same model as mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNHcXW9pRJ0

It’s all new to me I’ve only built one Tamiya tt-02 since I was a kid. This is my first drift car.

As far as I can gather, the gyro keeps the wheels pointing in the right direction when the rear is swinging round. And also sets an end point in the steering.

Had the trucks out again today weather was decent and the area surprisingly dry considering all the rain we have had over the past few days.

Decided to allow the lad to go to full power on his outcast 8s.. Translated the meaning of great power comes great responsibility and was promptly rewarded with this The smile on his face makes up for it.

My rather embarrasing that was big comment, that aside the gap between those jumps is huge camera doesn't do it justice so I was suitably satisfied.

Some stills

The only damage

I lost a screw!

Can't be mad at that.

My jouney back to RC cars continues, now racing in the "Frontie" class with a front wheel drive. Next level up in speed and a whole new way to drive it, a real skill in getting it through the lines and round the track quickly. Really having fun with the hobby, lots to learn!

Nice video below, Jake Hill did a video of his night at Eastbourne.

Anyone here remember the TTech Predator buggies from the 90s?

A modern conversion using, mostly, an Associated B74 is available called the Predator X22. I made a start on mine at the weekend. I used to race Associated until last year when I switched to Yokomo but still have lots of B74 parts and a couple of rollers.

First step was to tear down the B74. The X22 uses two sets of short dampers for front and rear. I've seen a few folk use Schumacher dampers from the L1 but for mine, 12mm Associated will do.

If anyone is interested, I'll take a few photos of the build process.

I have a few Predators, used to race them back in the day but they are on the shelf for the moment as parts are incredibly rare. Would love to see some decent pics of an X22, would be nice to race something like that again

I've never had an OG Pred.

A mate has build a X22 and it went pretty well to be fair. I think adding roll bars is a bit tricky but not impossible. The X22 seemed to suffer with the diffs not being tight. I believe this has been addressed in the current version.

I'll take some build pics and report back. :)

Looks lovely that!

Just had it out for a quick go around the garden and street. It’s easily one of the best setup RTR cars I have used. Very well balanced and it handles really well. It’s my first Corally and tbh my next will probably be another Corally. Really impressed with it.
