RC Planes

at bleeping last, the last item has arrived to unlock my order from HK.. That carbon quad frame was in stock for literally one hour, it's now back on backorder!
Now, how long until they ship ? the order has 3 green marks, but hasn't departed yet...

The lesson is that it is always a better idea to do multiple, small orders from HK than try to save on postage. it isn't even a good deal anyway. lesson learned!

4th green tick means its shipping.
sometimes it can take a day between the 3rd and 4th mark , if you hover your cursor over the ticks it tells you what they are for.

they process thousands of items a day though which is why its slow... my last to orders were 20minutes apart and the second order number had already jumped over 100

royal mail option officially sucks...

my parcel was aparently posted on the 5th at 1am ish our time.
its now the 16th and neither package hasnt arrived yet...
you dont get a tracking number either...

next time im just going to use the normal cheap airmail one that comes with tracking so i can atleast see where my parcel is and estimate when it might arrive

finally arrived today!

ems speed post is just as fast then and has the advantage of tracking.

neither of the RM parcels had customs touch them mind , the larger package looks like it might even have been posted from within the UK as it has no invoice on the front for customs saying what it is and the value

alexthecheese,

Got your plane going again? Finally got all my planes sorted I think so I hope for some decent weather this weekend so I can go flying. Already got multiple planes I want to build though!

Well just took my flying wing up, wanting to turn left really bad even after trimming it the best i could visually. Need to reglue part of the wing, destroyed a servo and a prop. Hopefully go better next weekend. :p

I had forgotten about my Formosa keeps losing it's canopy when you do a knife edge, fortunately it landed near me so I could find it again. I also dropped my 6EXA and the throttle stick feels a little different now, so going to have to open it up. Overall it wasn't my finest flying session. :p

Finally, after well over two months, I have received my HK order. Had to pay 43 quid hostage release fee to parcelfarce, so I get to see them toss the parcel from the van, dribble it onto their trolley and arrive at my door.

My other, non EMS order arrived last week (I had ordered over a month after the first!), and I paid no tax... I guess I now know what to use!

can't find a picture of my favourite. It is an infineon another scratch built foamy from plans on rcgroups

Bi plane, can be flown at a real clip or down to walking space and will do anything you chuck at it. Makes you look like a better pilot it flies so well!

I just got a G.T. Power X6 Charger and I tried to plug in the balance connector for 3s and it does not fit. Anyone ever had this problem before? I think the pins are too high up.

80% is the norm.

You want to run the cells down to about 3.7v per cell by the time you put them on the charger. Lower than that and you won't get as many cycles from you battery.

So, I /finally/ bought the Nice Eagles Sky Climber, quite happy as the weather is finally improving!

i've set it up pretty easily, however one of the aileron is not centered; it seems the servo 'neutral' is not perpendicular to the servo body..

Is it something I need to fix by taking it apart and readjusting the servo arm ?

try and adjust the servo trim on your remote or attach the server to the throttle channel on the esc but dont give it any throttle and it should set it to neutral middle

Just finished building this - I'm going to maiden it this weekend weather pending. Made out of foamboard, powered by a 900kv motor on a 3cell 2200mah bat. Wingspan is 1740mm and it weighs about 1.2kgs. COG seems about right but you never know.
