RDNA 3 rumours Q3/4 2022

It's good to see 4090 cards not selling out instantly now. Lot of retailers including ocuk have them sitting in stock now. So anything closer to 2 grand is not really attractive to the casual PC gamer. Last time out I paid 900 quid for a 6800XT and then it was tough to take. Now I was thinking of go founders 4090 such is mental, but I'm glad I haven't as waiting on rdna3. Hopefully more attractive prices.

only so many can or would spend this much on a GPU always get the early brigade bet they would buy even if they charged £3k , and they want £1269 for the 4080 16gb not sure that will do so good either . Nvidia still think its peak covid / crypto

Much as I'd love for this to be true, it's entirely likely that this is purely down to people waiting to see what AMD are coming out with. Be interesting to see what happens to those stock levels after the announcement tomorrow.
The fact that people would wait for anything instead of OMGMUSTBUYNOW!! Is an improvement over last gen's situation.

The 4090 is not the full Ada die and they have quite a bit of headroom there so I expect when AMD launches the 7950XTX, they will respond with a 4090 Ti and a 600W TGP.

I wonder if the stock claims will be the same outcome as rdna 2 too..... :p

If true and a 7900xtx isn't going to match the 4090, makes me wonder where the 7800xt will fall now as that would most likely be the card for my price range. Will the 7900xt be the 4080 16gb competitor? If so then 7800xt probably won't be a worthwhile upgrade from a 3080 unless priced <£850

Then go buy one of these from my uncle if you don't like it, because you're going to need the VRAM soon.. :-

Drivers are not optimised for MW2, Nvidia has confirmed. These benchmarks are pointless until nvidia releases those. 6800 besting a 3080 is clearly An anomaly.
I guess you’ve never played and benchmarked RDNA2 Vs Ampere in MW19, Vanguard, or Warzone? The results are exactly the same there as they are in this title.

couldnt care less more interested in the lower tier stuff , which also these companies should be looking at as this is where most buy from

I don't think you watched the video if you are asking that question.
I dont think you understand how GPU works if you are foolishly believing a guy who is a known AMD shiller.
You cannot just increase core count and expect the linear increase, MCM is not a clear solution as you will rapidly hit bottlenecks(and add new ones) in other parts of GPU.
4090 is already constrained by memory bandwidth even with its enormous L2 cache.
Moreover, pure raster will be less and less important in the near future.
So no, as much as I hope for AMD to claim performance crown(better competition means better product for consumers) I see no signs of AMD taking crown just because it switches to MCM.
Personally I think Adored is simply an idiot that blindlessly loves AMD.

Like I have always said before, I wouldn't pay more than £350 and a half eaten ham sandwich for a 3090 now, in fact, you would have to pay me :D

Not true, he's a real tech enthusiast and even given AMD his mind ..

Also you have no idea what you are talking about, you sound like the people that took the micky out of Ryzen and look where we are today...

Even the 13900k is not really better than the 7950x.. It uses 1/3 more power than the 7950x to just beat it by a single % in most cases and looses just as many..

It fails for me the 13900k because on a now dead platform and the power use compared to 7950x on AM5 and even the 7950x uses too much power for my liking ...

Check this.. it has become a war of brute force and extreme power levels.

This :(

Whatever I go with next needs to at least be around 4080 16gb level.
If neither AMD or nvidia offer anything decent for buyers in the £600-900 who usually spend that for upgrades every generation then I think the best options are to either suck it up and buy a 4090 and skip next gen or skip this gen and buy a 5090, either way the total spend over 2 generations would be similar to buying 2 £800 cards and if they continue in heavily cutting down the mid range then you probably won't even get 4090 performance for £800 2 years from now.

I didn't think you would be so upset by my comment about you not watching the video, that you would lash out by calling me foolish and make baseless accusations.

Oh so you did watch the video but decided to ask a question that was answered in the video because reasons.

So the one question I did ask you, you don't answer. But you did decide to run your mouth on some pointless tangential rambling.

No matter how good either card by amd or nvidia may be, no way I'm spending £1+k on a gpu :p Maybe if I had an older/weaker gpu and knew that I was going to keep the gpu for at least 3 years, I probably would but it's hard to justify the cost when you have 3080+ levels of performance and atm, there aren't many, if any games that are really punishing current mid/top end gpus outside of the RT intensive ones like cp 2077 (a game which I'll likely only play once more), it would be great to be pushing a constant 100+ fps with max settings but it isn't worth the outlay at this point imo.
