So is there room for a 7950 then with 24GB memory?
Of course, lets remember the 6900 had
xt
xtx
xtxh
6950

The 6900 series had 4 different variants. It's very possible that the 7900 series will have several different models as well.

we just gonna ignore the 90% of times hes been wrong about other stuff? what rep he blew it ages ago....
Yesssss....Is that all? I am tougher then that I ignore all 100%

You must be new around here, people love baseless claims with no evidence to back it up  :p :D

Must say though pretty hyped now to see what amd deliver, have got the money ready if it's good :)

Powercolor teases their new red devil 7900xtx, has similiar design to a AIO water cooled card they released several years ago

I have a feeling AMD have something really good this time... maybe my new HTPC gpu if it is. Then I will sell one of the 3090s to @Nexus18 to save him going out and begging for Nvidia gpu money like poor Steve is having to do to get a 4090...

What’s giving me pause is this: I can’t work out why, if AMD have a part that is within spitting distance of the 4090 on raw performance, they have let NVidia run rampant in the halo segment for 6 weeks and hoover up the early adopters without any significant competition. Which leads to the idea that they don’t have such a part.

But I suppose we find out in 36 hours or less either way…

That kind of marketing game is pointless exercise, better to divorce yourself from it as a company if you can. Competition is a long term game and a product needs to stand on it own merits.

If you have a stonking product, let some buyers rush in with the earlier competitor. Next time they won't be so quick even though you still say nothing. And if you don't have anything worth crowing about, well there is also no point, the let down will reinforce the exact opposite sentiment you want to foster.

Ok serious moment,

Who is really excited about tomorrows AMD gpus and thinking about buying one if they turn out to be good and a decent price ?

We won't start a poll just like this with a thumbs up if yes and sad face if not interested at all and laughing face if not sure.

I'm a thumbs up so far from seeing the so called leaked specs.

Something weird with AMD. They leave Nvidia doing whatever they want for 2 months, you don't do that if you have a competitive product. Maybe not rushing your own product but you can at least suggest that you are competitive and people should wait before spending a fortune on a new card. Yet we haven't heard anything from AMD. First time i saw the announcement i thought they will fight for marketshare this time. Then i realised it is november 3rd instead of october 3rd and that it is not a launch but a reveal. Which means it will take another month for their cards to be available.
To me it looks like an "agreement" between the two companies. I can't explain why AMD would do such a thing but this is what i think when i see how they behave.
On the other hand if they will release 7900xt / 7900xtx it means they are competitive in the highest end. Otherwise they wouldn't name their cards like that. Which brings the question once again: why were they so quiet?
