What about when overdrive RT mode lands :p ;) :D

But there isn't a lot on the horizon tbf, most of the main ones have been pushed back to later next year. Only things that come to my mind which I'll be playing is the above +

- portal rtx
- plague tale requirem when its RT lands
- avatar 3 but that's late next year
- witcher 3 remastered but will no doubt get bored after all the waffling :p
- atomic heart in Feb.
- black smith wukongnext year
- starfield next year

Hence why I'm in no rush either.

Yup the Nvidia UI looks so dated not like you need to use it a lot but still , also AMD can tweak, undervolt set fan curves etc in its software instead of having to use 3rd party with Nvidia
Tell me about it I recently downloaded Ryzen Master for my 5600x that looks slick and smooth then you have Nvidias Control panel which is seperte from the Nvidia Experience surely they can just merge them together.

I like the features available in the AMD GPU drivers, but having it wipe all the settings every time the GPU has a driver crash is a huge pain in the rear. That happens often enough for me that I've just given up with any fine tuning now. Had planned to buy NVidia to replace this, but the pricing of the 40 series cards along with the PSU requirements is a joke, so hoping AMD can deliver on the new hardware and bring some competition in performance.

What about the black screen issues with Windows 11, they had to fix it, AMD are notorious for black screen issues.

yet to experience that have build on windows 11 with the 5700xt also have system with 3080 no issues either

if you google can find people with issues on nvidia doesnt mean its wide spread, I think its becoming a myth for people who havent used AMD

I think you can export your settings and just import them again in seconds if needed. No biggie.

Hey Nvidia's control panel is the best implementation. There are no external dependencies for nvcp, while amd cp requires a third party runtime environment. Also the memory mgmt of amd cp is inferior, given how it resides in memory after first run. You must have noticed how the cp takes longer to load the first time...

Nvidia has the right approach here, something as basic as cp should be running out of the box. Nvidia also provides a separate bloatware like amd called Nvidia experience

So you can polish a turd?!

Thanks, I'll check this later. Would still be annoying if I get multiple crashes in a day, but if it's just the odd occasion I can live with that. Just wary as I was replying XCom2 the other week and getting driver crashes every 30 minutes to an hour at points!

jensen = **** gamers
lisa = **** gamers
Intel = we will **** gamers when we can sort our drivers out
:D
To be fair to Intel, at the price they charge for the performance they offer (in a very select cherry-picked titles) they are already ****ing gamers and general consumers!

No idea what prices they would charge if they ever sort out their drivers!

Hopefully the top end card isn't nuts pricing but can see why they'd still want over a grand for it if the raster performance is nutty.

I'll be tempted as I want 144 frames at 4K for COD.

I’ll be amazed if the top card is much less than $1499 to be honest.

Nvidia gave them a massive opening to charge pretty much what they want, and they aren’t above rinsing the consumer for all they have. They know the top end isn’t particularly price sensitive.

What will be interesting is if they have anything at 7800/7900 non XTX levels at under a grand…
