What we want to see:
Perf graphs showing RDNA3 being competitive on every field. improvements to FSR and new features/software released for Radeon. Price below 1000 USD.
What we will see:
5 mins on how AMD is fighting global warming.
10 mins on Sony and Microsoft reps being invited: Lisa praising Sony and Microsoft and Sony and Microsoft reps praising Lisa for her management qualities.
OMG new games! : Godfall 2, Dirt 6 and Farcry 7. All with brand new RT shadows. And Radeon cards crushing Nvidia on these titles.
All while being $50 cheaper than the 4090.
And that is not all. Because they bring the secret weapon to the table: Rage Mode 2. :)

If the AMD drivers were decent, I would not hesitate, but they've been the reason I've avoided AMD for over a decade. If the drivers were as good as Nvidia, then the 7900XFX should match the 4090. But more importantly it would be worth the price.
Wut? That really isn't the case and AMD drivers have less CPU overhead in DX12.

Yup, similar experience here, the only one I've had any issues with is the 5700XT, but my current 6800 is rock solid.

I would point out that between my experience of current AMD drivers and Nvidia drivers, the AMD software was far superior in terms of tweaking the card performance/voltages/fan curves etc.

It's not even close, NV's software is pathetic.

If the chiplet design is a lot cheaper to produce. AMD have a solid chance to embarrass Nvidia pricing and make people question why they are so expensive.

But the question is, do they go for huge discount, or just go a little under Nvidia price.

Smart choice would be to make smaller profits on each card sell a lot more cards and make a joke of Nvidia. But i think they would rather make more dollar per card.

They'll do what they always do, slightly cheaper and that's it. Hope I am wrong but I don't think I will be.

Yup the Nvidia UI looks so dated not like you need to use it a lot but still , also AMD can tweak, undervolt set fan curves etc in its software instead of having to use 3rd party with Nvidia

Yeah, looking at a possible upgrade for my 3700x - if the 7xxx is worth going for then will stick with AMD CPU for the improvement from SAM, however if an NV GPU is a better option, then I have no incentive to do so.

5800X3D are going for £320-350 new and save yourself a lot of money and rebuilding a whole platform and dealing with teething issues that may pop up. 3700x easy to sell and covers a good bit of the cost.

I was thinking of rebuilding most of my current system (RAM/CPU/GPU) into a mITX form factor as a "console" PC under the TV, so would still need mostly new kit (although I guess could reuse the mobo)
